Mild and pleasant today before rain and a big cool down returns late this week in Connecticut

On tap. Hey, Julian, how nice is it going to get? It's going to be a really gorgeous one for us, Marcy and Lisa. So as we head out today and getting ready for Wednesday, once we're done with this, well, we have beautiful weather on tap, not only just from the morning where it's cool, but for the afternoon, you won't need the jacket at all. We're talking about temperatures in the 70s, plenty of sunshine and really calm winds for the next couple of days, which is not going to be the same for us by the time we get to the end of the week. Be prepared to bring back out not only the rain boots, but also have the windbreakers ready to go as we're going to be dealing with some high winds and and wet conditions for Friday. But until then, let's talk about what's happening for today. As you're heading out the door, like I said, it's a cool one with temperatures around the mid-50s, 60s throughout the morning, and as we hit closer towards the afternoon, we'll have a few spots just around 70 degrees, mainly near Greenwich or closer towards the southwest areas of Fairfield County. But as we take a look from Newtown over towards Weston and Bridgeport, upper 60s is really what we have in store from a widespread or more general sense for today. now as we head into our rain forecast again for the next couple of days and actually for most of this week we'll have to worry about the umbrellas but friday is the day to remember because we're looking not only for widespread rainfall potentially could even see a couple of thunderstorms we have this warm air lifting for us throughout our friday morning and gusts that really pick up by the time we get to our friday evening we're expecting rain throughout much of the day and then it dries out and once we do that we have this strong cold front that's going to be ushering in not only gusty conditions into our weekend but also temperatures that will be plummeting. We're talking about 40s and on top of it potentially even seeing 30s by the time we get to our Sunday morning. So we have big changes on the way. We'll talk more details coming up.
