I'm Breanne Miranda with Oregon Ducks
on SI with wide receiver Iverson Hooks.
Iverson, what do you want Oregon Ducks fans to know about you
before they see you on Saturdays?
Explosive. Short and simple. Yeah.
I like that answer. I think Oregon fans will like that answer too.
So, have you been working primarily in the slot so far?
I have. Yes, ma'am.
Okay. And how comfortable are you in that role?
I'm comfortable. I'm really comfortable at any receiving spot.
I think that's just what I've been playing since I've been in college.
So wherever Coach leads me to play,
that's what I'm gonna get the job done, yeah.
What was it about Oregon Coach Dan Lanning's culture
that made you want to transfer and become an Oregon Duck?
Just the way he treats and coaches his players, um.
I know everybody sees the viral motivational speeches.
Just him pouring out to his players like that,
that just motivates me to just want to play harder for him,
play harder for Oregon University.
The wide receiver room is so stacked this year.
What has been maybe something
that has surprised you as you've joined that group?
Something that's probably surprised me is that they're all brotherhood.
No matter how much the competition is,
no matter how much we compete against each other,
we're all trying to take care of family and stuff like that.
But at the end of the day, when we leave,
put up our cleats, we're still a brother.
We still go out and have fun together.
We still do what we need to do to make sure
our brotherhood will stay a brotherhood.
