AI GeneratedA weather report detailing current thunderstorms across Kenosha, Walworth, and Racine counties, with expectations for the storms to clear by midnight. The report highlights a significant temperature drop and a shift toward cooler, windier autumn weather over the coming days, including rain on Thursday and potential frost by Saturday morning.
Nothing like October baseball and nothing like October thunderstorms.
Let's take a look, show you the radar tonight.
Boy, Kenosha County, Walworth, Racine County,
yeah, a lot of lightning for you.
You don't need me to tell you that.
It's noisy, isn't it?
And these are decent thunderstorms moving through.
Now, the white lightning bolts that you see here
are cloud-to-ground lightning strikes
within the last five minutes.
So you can see here another storm heading right into Lake Geneva.
Now, none of these are severe, but,
yeah, they're still packing a punch.
They're noisy, that's for sure.
Heavy rain, even some small hail, not out of the question with this.
Not expecting any warnings,
and this will be out over the lake within the next hour.
And then we have a few more storms farther to the northwest.
Might see a few more pop between now and about midnight.
So we'll say midnight to 1 a.m. for an end time.
I think this is going to be the strongest batch, though,
right now that's in Racine, Kenosha, and Walworth counties.
Hey, enjoy it while it's here
because we don't have any thunderstorms in the future here.
As you're going to see in a minute, big time changes on the way.
And this is actually the beginning of it.
This is going to be marking much cooler air coming in for tomorrow.
Let's take a look.
This is cool.
Looking over downtown,
you can see a little layer of low cloudiness and fog settling in.
I'm hoping to see if we could.
Oh, there we go.
Yes, perfect timing.
You can see some lightning there as we are looking to the south.
So you see the buildings of downtown Lake Michigan
on the left-hand side of your screen.
Quite a bit of lightning again,
especially in Walworth and Kenosha counties right now.
Even a thunderstorm from the airport,
at least being heard from the airport right now.
63, our current temperature.
That's after a high today of 77.
The wind is out of the northeast.
Dew points have come up because of the moisture
and our air pressure on the rise.
So temperatures in the 50s and 60s tonight,
we are all going to drop into the 50s overnight.
Look at the cooler air up to the north.
They're already in the 40s from Duluth to Marquette, Michigan.
So we've got this system coming through nowhere near
as strong as our friends down in the south.
Kansas City had nasty storms down there tonight.
The worst of the weather is going to stay down to our south.
But let's get into Sky Vision Plus and talk more about this here
because we have a lot to go over in the next couple of days.
First things first, these thunderstorms really should
be out within about the next hour.
I'd say by 1030 for our southern counties.
Most of those storms are out over the lake.
This is the stuff that's just developing out in central Wisconsin.
So that will clear the area generally after midnight to 1 a.m.
Probably shouldn't amount to much with that.
Maybe a rumble, otherwise just some light to moderate rain showers.
Then on Wednesday, just going to be a cloudy day,
cloudy and brisk with a north northeast wind.
I think temperatures are going to struggle to get out
of the 50s tomorrow, maybe low 60s for a brief time.
But it's going to be a much chillier day
than we've seen over the last several days.
Now I'm going to take you all the way into Thursday
because it's looking very wet starting in the afternoon.
So the rain starts Thursday afternoon,
really picking up by Thursday evening.
We could easily have over a half an inch of rain out of this system.
The rain moves out later Thursday night.
And I hope you're sitting down for this six day planner.
Let's take a look. The winds have changed. Here we go. 62 tomorrow.
58 on Thursday. Rain likely in the afternoon and evening.
52 with 40 plus mile per hour wind gusts out of the northwest.
We're going to be lucky if these leaves stay on the trees after Friday.
58 on Saturday with morning frost. 65 and windy on Sunday.
So warming up later in the weekend.
But we go from 87 on Monday to frost on Saturday morning.
And, of course, thunderstorms for some tonight.
