Dream WNBA finals to be played at State Farm Arena

15-year time, it's a dream come true for women's basketball fans. The Atlanta Dream say that Games 3 and 4 of the WNBA Finals will be played at State Farm Arena. That's where Good Day's Caitlin Clark is live from this morning. Good morning, KP. Hey, hey, good morning to you both. Okay, so there was so much speculation about where these games would be taking place, and now word that it will be here at State Farm Arena really being well-received by fans because that means thousands and thousands of more people can pack it in. It's just, we just worked so hard to get here, and it's been a rough five years. And so to finally be here, it's not something that we can just let go easily. The Atlanta Dream are getting ready to play for a title, entering the WNBA Finals on a winning streak. But Atlanta knows they have their work cut out for them, taking on the Golden State Valkyries. They beat the Dream all three times during the regular season. For you're playing a team that's as good defensively as the Valkyries are, you know you have to work to get good shots. Nothing's going to come easy. You're going to have to create advantages and make the most of it. They work hard together. They play really well together. They have a great bench. We have a great bench. So it's just kind of, it's going to be just going head to head. Who's going to, you know, who's going to come out on top every single game. After much speculation on where the Atlanta Dream would play their games at home during the finals, it was announced they're going to be playing them at State Farm Arena. The Hawks moving their opener back to make it possible. Moving the games will allow thousands more fans to support the team. We're going to miss our gateway, but I'm really excited to be able to make that happen. And everybody that did make it happen, I'm really thankful for it. And I'm looking forward to all the fans coming out. And the team thanking everyone who made the shift possible. As for when those games are happening, Game 3, that's going to be October 21st at 8 p.m. Game 4, Saturday the 24th at 1 p.m. As for when you can get your tickets, well, that happens on Friday beginning at 10 in the morning. That's the latest here live in downtown Atlanta. I'm Caitlin Pryor for Good Day Atlanta. All right. Thank you, Caitlin.
