I'm really looking forward to watching the Texans game early.
She mentioned 8.30 in the morning.
Wake-up temperatures Sunday are going to be so fabulous.
You might even need to bust out a sweater.
Dare I say that?
Your Texan sweatshirt, whatever it is.
If you do, let me know if you like the cooler temperatures
because we're anything but that today.
Forecast highs, Montgomery County.
Excuse me.
93 in Plandora, 94 Cut and Shoot, as well as in Conroe.
We're actually looking at record-breaking temperatures.
We saw it yesterday in Houston hit 96 as the official high out at Bush.
And it's likely going to extend from Louisiana
and all the way up to Washington, D.C.
I mean, we're talking highs anywhere
from the upper 80s in D.C. to low 90s in Nashville.
We're seeing it in Jackson, Mississippi,
and even across North Texas as well.
That's probably not record highs, but it's still toasty.
And then where we have our latest area of low pressure
and trailing cold front, you can see the cooler temperatures behind it.
highs at 48 in Denver, and they could actually
be seeing some really chilly. I mean, we're talking
below zero, not below zero, below 32,
below freezing, rather, wake-up temperatures over
the next several days. So yeah, it is going to be much cooler.
For us, we are still monitoring
that humid air mass, bringing in some passing showers.
It's super light rain, and it should
be moving through rather quickly.
Yes, we could be seeing some pockets of heavy rain, but it's
going to be way out in our western viewing area later on today
and then things quiet down and
then really low in rain chances for your Thursday
then our cold front arrives sometime mid to late
Friday morning let's call it we are going
to be turning very very comfortable much lower humidity
but a big increase in winds
so what does that do for temperature as well it is going to be dropping
it highs in the 70s maybe low 80s for some
but it's the wake-up temperatures that you're really
going to enjoy so what we're waiting
on is this front here it's bringing heavy rain picking up
moisture from Hurricane Simon in the Pacific
and that rain is pretty much going to fizzle out
before it arrives here in Southeast Texas
so we're just going to be turning cooler and breezy
you can see that dip in temperatures by the weekend
but unfortunately back to above seasonal
highs as we head into early next week
but waking up to 58 degrees come Sunday wow that sounds
perfect. So yes, a beautiful weekend ahead.
And then you can see those rain chances will be back
on the rise by next week. Make sure you stick with us.
We'll be coming right back after the break.
