Stone Pony hosts third annual Battle of the Bands to benefit Asbury Park's Mercy Center

Well here's one networking event that rocks, literally. The third annual Battle of the Bands at Stone Pony in Asbury Park brings together architects and real estate professionals, all for a great cause. Let's meet Adam Alexander and Bill Mandera to talk about this event. How did it even get started? This is so, ever since I've been in Miami, I've wanted to do an event like this, and talked about it forever, and then Adam's coworker Dave called me up one day as I'm thinking about putting this event together, and I was like, perfect, let's do it. And from there, this is now our third year doing it, and we're pretty stoked. And Adam, what's the goal here? The goal here is to create awareness about the Mercy Center and bring people together as a community to help support the mission, as well as have a good time. Absolutely. And how many bands are we talking about? Eight, eight total. Eight total bands. And these are all professionals, right? Professionals in your industry, not necessarily music professionals. Absolutely. It spans the whole gamut from contractors to architects and engineers to furniture. I'm actually pulling double duty in two different bands. Oh, wow. So how much money are you guys hoping to raise this year? It would be great to get over the $50,000 this year. Oh my goodness. And how is this going to be different from last year's event? So we've learned a lot. It's our third year. The first year we didn't have enough food, which drove me crazy. And the second year, because of that, we had too much food. And now hopefully we'll have enough food. But just more awareness, more people getting there, and better attendance. And so tickets are still available? Tickets are still available.
