The Knicks just got WAY Scarier...

The New York Knicks just got way scarier because of a move that they are making to not only unlock their potential, to have multiple big men who are absolutely lethal, but on top of that, the Knicks made a big roster decision regarding that 14th spot that is the right move. Fans have been calling for it, and well, the man who got the spot, he just absolutely proved that he deserves that roster spot, and guys, with all this being said, an insider has revealed this is the Wiseman and I mean we saw Bobby Marks say the same thing Bobby Marks said I would rather take a flyer on a player like that 24-25 years old who showed potential here and at the end of the day it really does make sense for the Knicks I mean we see in the comment of the day that Wiseman has potential and he needs to improve foul shots offensive rebounds inside basket area and put back up in midair not bounce on the court and then basically getting alley-oops catch in the air and then put them back without the bouncing and just getting a little bit quicker getting those techniques down and basically Moussa Cissé and James Wiseman they have to find space for both players as Noel Anthony said but they're not going to and if Cissé is stuck on the Mavericks roster the Knicks are going to go with Wiseman he is their best chance to help them repeat at the end of the day and I do think that is the move the Knicks should be making going forwards and honestly I don't think they're done who honestly gives a way bigger impact than anyone else the Knicks could possibly add Wiseman's athletic he's bouncy he has the ability to hit mid-range shots and honestly he is someone that I truly do believe is going to continue to get better as things go on obviously his career has had a very strange start to it only playing in five games in the NBA over the last two seasons and only really playing in one prior to last year last year he played in four the year prior played one all five of those were with Indiana but at the same time Wiseman has shown potential in the past and it's mainly been injuries that have limited him throughout this and then people forgot about it. But Wiseman overall, he is talented and people do seem to forget that. Taking a look at Wiseman's numbers throughout his career, he started in 2020-2021 when he was drafted second overall. He put up 11 points and 5.7 rebounds and also blocked a shot per game in the 22 minutes he played. Honestly, the numbers aren't bad and he showed a bit of a willingness to shoot threes, shooting a little bit under one three per game. Outside of that, we continue to see him shoot well from the field. That has never been an issue for Wiseman throughout really the couple of years that he played in 2020 to 2021, then 2022 to 2023 because he missed an entire season with an injury, and then 2023 to 2024 where the last time he really played a valuable amount of games, he appeared in 63 games for the Pistons. The Pistons were not good, but he put up seven points and five rebounds. He also, at the same time, was blocking half a shot in those 17 minutes, and he did shoot 61% from the field. Wiseman did enough to show that he very much can perform. Shooting 70% from the line, his two years in Detroit, well his one half year in Detroit, and then the one full year he had in Detroit, before moving on from them. And honestly, that's the thing about Wiseman that we see. He's skilled. And honestly, those numbers, if he can recapture the numbers he had in Detroit, well then he is more than capable of being a third string center for the Knicks. And what the Knicks see is a guy that they can grow into being more than that. A guy who can become a long-term center option for them. someone who if he plays well for the Knicks he'll be on a non-guaranteed deal so if it doesn't work the Knicks can waive him by January 1st and they get the money back like Wiseman still gets his money but it doesn't hit it doesn't have the cap hit on the Knicks so they can then pay someone like Drew Eubanks instead if they would rather have Drew Eubanks go out there though I think Eubanks is falling behind and it is more likely we would see Tony Bradley get that job instead Bradley's a little bit bigger he's a bit of a better defender and the Knicks are big fans of him so I do think that is what the Knicks would actually go and end up doing but right now they only have the money for one guy which has been the key thing here obviously there's a good chance that they do trade for Kody they get the second roster spot and that's going to go to Bruce Brown there's no doubt about it Bruce Brown will get that spot but at the same time we continue to look at where the Knicks are this is a team that does not have depth at the center position this is a team that only has two big men really in Karl-Anthony Towns and Andre Drummond right now we see guys like James Wiseman and Tony Bradley who are there of course but again once the roster gets cut down a little bit we will see this completely and utterly change we'll see it just be Cat Drummond and then likely Wiseman and yes OG Anunoby I know we will play a little bit of backup center next season as well Tom Thibodeau has said as much but at the same time there is still a lot to look at and I mean with Wiseman he does have severe upside that most guys don't have the size and interior finishing potential I don't know why there's so many images of Michael Porter Michael Porter who always is mistaken for James Wiseman on these images I don't know why that's the case I don't make these but it does happen all the time even if you go into like Getty images and look it up I don't know who the hell's taking these photos and it's mistaking him for the guy who's not even on the Pacers, Trailblazer center for James Wiseman they obviously look so much alike but uh the gamble regardless it's appealing because if he redefines his NBA career the Knicks, the Knicks will have a better chance of signing more guys so they see his diamonds in the rough because they saw how it worked for Wiseman they tried to sign Ben Simmons and Ben Simmons chose the Kings and frankly I think the Knicks thought they could rebuild Ben Simmons as well and Ben Simmons looks pretty good with the Kings if we're being honest certainly an NBA player so I do think the Knicks really do believe in their ability to kind of recapture the magic that guys have had before and i think the Knicks are going to be able to capture some magic in James Wiseman he's going to play a very important part on this team next season making the Knicks all that much scarier because honestly Karl-Anthony Towns, Andre Drummond and James Wiseman has the potential to be the best center rotation in basketball what do you guys think though let me know in the comments down below like this video subscribe turn on post notifications have a great day thank you for watching as always and go Knicks
