While Friday will experience varied weather—including morning showers, a sunny midday, and evening thunderstorms—the conditions are expected to improve by Saturday afternoon, leading into a generally dry weekend.
And Rich, I don't think anyone's felt worse than you
for these weekends, having to tell everyone it's going to rain.
A lot of these events are canceled.
We've had a lot of good Saturdays,
but it's the Sundays because a lot of people have sports on Saturdays.
So like, all right, we're going to do it on Sunday.
We're good this Sunday.
It's about time.
We're going to break the stretch of rainy Sundays.
Now, we do have a rainy Friday coming our way,
but it's kind of a weird weather day
because we're going to get a bunch of different types of weather.
Now, this morning, some light showers, a little bit of mist.
There will be some showers that could
be heavy around 8 to 9 o'clock this morning.
And then there's a little bit of wet weather for the morning rush hour.
Now, during the midday, from 11 to 5, we get some breaks of sunshine.
It's going to look nice, 60s and 70s.
Then after 5 o'clock, there's going to be the threat of more showers
and a thunderstorm or two.
And then we're going to see some wet
weather overnight into Saturday morning.
Right now, it looks like towards the east end,
some showers may be left over until 9 o'clock in the morning.
Nassau County, the rain should be done by about 7 a.m.,
so an early morning shower,
and then the weather will improve as we go towards Saturday afternoon.
So Doppler radar right now picking up some very light,
spotty sprinkles, a light shower right now.
Here are the clouds around the Isle of Four this morning,
so a little bit of wet weather here.
This is what I'm watching as we go towards 8 to 9 o'clock.
There's a line of heavier rain that's with a warm front,
and that's one of the things we'll watch,
and then once that moves on through, we'll break out to some sunshine.
So let's take a look, hour by hour.
Here's 845.
Some on and off showers, so have the umbrella around for this morning.
This first round of showers will be with us through about 11 o'clock.
Then by 1 to 2 o'clock, watch this, we break out to some sunshine.
Temperatures are in the 60s and 70s,
so your midday actually looks pretty nice.
It will be breezy throughout the day, winds around 25 miles per hour.
Towards this evening, this could impact any football or sports tonight.

a line of showers come in this will
be with us you can see here four
or five o'clock in the morning tapering off towards nine o'clock
