AI GeneratedProducer Adrian reports from the Milwaukee Brewers team store, where crowds have gathered to purchase championship gear following the team's advancement to the World Series. The atmosphere is electric and celebratory, with fans eagerly buying National League Championship and World Series apparel despite long lines and crowded conditions.
Purchase some of the gear.
Well, that store opened once again today.
It's where we find producer Adrian,
who is joining us right now on Fox 6 Now.
Adrian, we sent you out on a little reporting assignment,
and just a tad busy at the team store right now?
Oh, yeah.
Not a big deal here, right?
No, this is huge.
I mean, it's – we talked a little bit over in the break.
It is borderline overwhelming.
And one of the first questions I had, not only when I got here,
there was a line outside
but where's the line inside uh it's actually right in the middle of
all of this it's a little bit hard to see
but there's a line just kind of coming through the
middle into this corner i hadn't even seen
when i first walked in so there's just so many people
a lot of smiles a lot of uh puzzling looks too
to figure out what exactly they want to get
but there is just so much going on lots
of new gear uh people you know you see people with
hats already and you're thinking why
not grab another one right right to your point it's one
of those things when you're like you've waited
in a line it's still kind of crowded in the store
and then you're like well what do i even want
to purchase what is this NLCS championship gear
what are my World Series options what are you able to show us here
because clearly it's busy
and things seem to be flying off the shelves, Adrian.
Yeah, and actually, right behind me,
they just dropped off another load of boxes.
Let me see if I can turn the camera on.
Don't mind me here.
Adrian, doing double duty for us.
So take a look here.
They just opened up another box full of shirts.
I want to say these are National League Champion shirts.
And in the box there, too, you can see there's a bunch of hats.
When I was in high school,
I remember being really into one of those hats.
So, you know, high school me,
If I was into the Brewers, I'd be all about that kind of hat right there.
Yeah, I like that they don't just have the baseball hats there, Adrian.
They also have, you know, the winter kind of warm hats
because we are in Milwaukee.
Temperatures are already starting to drop.
That's a nice addition to your gear.
Yeah, and you know, right now is the perfect time, right?
Because it's not too cold, not too cold for us Midwesterners, right?
But also, it's not too warm to, you know, hold off on buying a sweater,
which is what i'm pulling up
on here right now oh let's see what we find oh the Brewers are the National League
champions uh this table is completely empty
when i first got here so uh nice to see that they've
got it all stocked up again here yeah they're clearly moving
as much merchandise as quickly
as possible you know finding sweatshirts finding
more t-shirts finding more hats and i feel like
as quickly as it arrives at this table it disappears
as people decide to purchase it
Have you been able to chat with anyone in the store?
Do they kind of come in knowing what they want,
or they're looking around,
they just wanted to be here to celebrate going to the World Series?
What's kind of the vibe, Adrian?
That is the big thing.
It's almost like people are really locked in, I guess, so to speak.
I mean, we're digging around for the right size here.
People are looking for all sorts
of different kinds of gear in their size,
and I think you had mentioned it earlier,
but people are on their phones,
too uh making sure that no one at home's left out
or maybe someone who can't make it to the store
uh isn't missing out on this gear you know hey
some people leaving it behind maybe saying hey
uh maybe that shirt over there is uh something
that'll work out better for me but yeah a lot
of people i was talking with a bit earlier they
are just super excited a lot of people have been
waiting a lot longer than others of course
but it's a great time to be around and a great time
to be a brewers fan of course oh absolutely
an amazing time to be a brewers fan i don't know if
you'll have the answer but we saw that line you have
to wait in before you enter the team store
it seems like it was moving fast
do you have any idea how long the average kind of customer is
waiting before they gain access well
that is a good question if you can imagine being in the
concourse I'm trying to walk towards it right now there's some more gear
that they just brought in actually
oh uh let's see what else they got adrian's finding all
the National League champion hats
there nice i wouldn't say that it takes long to get in here
but it feels like almost like
this line to go by your team it might be a little bit longer
but i mean hey i think the
stores have uh extended hours too to kind
of uh let all the hype come through we've got some
there with that World Series shirt,
but there is just so much going on, and there's plenty
of room, right?
Don't let this dissuade you
if you're out here trying to get some gear yourself.
It's worth the wait, right?
And you've waited how many years?
Forty-something?
Forty-four.
Forty-four years.
What's a little line to pick up some World Series shirt, right?
No, absolutely, exactly.
So many people weren't even alive the last time
the Brewers made it to the World Series.
This is their first time ever in their lifetime
to be able to go get some of this World Series gear,
and they want to make sure they have
their hands on it before it runs out.
I think this is actually debating right now,
this moment between the World Series hat
or the National League champions hat.
There's so many decisions to make at the team's store,
but it really just seems like kind of vibes are high there, Adrian.
And this is something that we were talking about earlier, right?
There's nothing better than getting
to share this experience with everybody.
it almost feels like an extension of yesterday right
the whole crowd were uh here at American
Family Field to watch game four of course
and they're here today to celebrate that victory to
really let it soak in here yes oh absolutely
and i'm not surprised adrian but it also seems like
everyone is being actually very respectful it's obviously crowded
but i'm not seeing any pushing
any shoving which is what we would have expected
from the brewers fans here but again everyone
wanting to come out to the team store wanting
to be a part of this moment knowing now that we are
going to the world series adrian we appreciate you
so much going to the team store we will check
back in with you in just a little bit here on fox six now
because again we are talking all things
brewers all afternoon long i can't believe i have
to wait a week for game one of the world series
but i have a feeling it will fly by as we stick
in celebration mode we'll take a quick break here
We're on Fox 6 Now.
We'll be right back after this.
