See where a library will be opened in the Tower District

Back in June, I was at an FOL meeting, board
meeting, and every month I would ask Terry
Ekman, Terrence Ekman, Terry, tell me about the Talking Book Library.
When is the Talking Book Library going to come back?
And he surprised everyone with a presentation about
a Tower District Library.
I was watching remotely on my laptop and my phone,
and my husband was there.
it was just us. And I got to see what
the Tower District Library was going to look like. I got
to see that it was going to happen.
I had only been working on this for a little over three
years. There are groups that had existing libraries
that wanted to expand. Politi,
Reedley, Clovis. When working on these things,
Highway City is the Teague Library. Decades,
decades. I was ready for the long haul.
And then I get this enormous gift for our community
that it's happening. It's going to happen.
That's, that's insane. That's insane. I've only been
working on this for a little over three years
and my community is going to get this amazing gift,
a starter library. And I want them to see it as a starter library.
This isn't the be all end all.
We want bigger. We want better.
Yes, but don't turn your nose up at the foot in the door
