Arizona pets receive 'special blessing'

A blessing for the whole family, including the ones who have paws, tails, or wings. Fox 10's Annalisa Pardo takes us to the 10th annual pet blessing at Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery. Part of our hearts, she's everything to me. She's my best friend. And our homes. Especially us, because our children are gone. The dogs really become a real big part of our family. Which is why Valley Pet Owners came out to Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery for a special blessing just for their furry family members. including Paco who was just adopted two days ago. I want him to be blessed because I don't know what kind of a home or what he was went through. Can't hurt you know and we do believe in the Lord and I believe the Lord gives you these critters sometimes as special little blessings. The blessing is also in honor of Saint Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals. Love comes in different ways with family, with friends, with one another. But the pet gives uncontrollable love, gives unexplainable love all the time. Families also got to take home some dessert for humans and some toys for animals. Paco, I bless you in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen. Walking away blessed and full of love. Annalisa Pardo, Fox 10 News.
