Yes, we don't want you to lose your poodle in a puddle,
but it is now clearing up quite nicely.
I want to take you on a little video vacation slash maybe
reconnaissance mission, depending on what we catch on this camera here.
Yes, down in Tampa Bay could be our next opponent here.
I say our like I'm on the team, but yes, that could be one of the two
spots that the Brew Crew head to next for virtual baseball dominance.
Now, back here at home, the fresh coast looking pretty good.
It's a little on the cloudy side, but there is some blue sky
and sunshine peeking through as we check out the Kenosha camp.
Time lapse from this location does show some of the rain
that has popped up at times throughout the day.
The windy conditions shaking the camera
and the trees around in the last little while or so.
Yesterday's high got to 59 degrees.
55 was the low, so it was a pretty flat line
on the old temperature graph yesterday.
The numbers, as you can see there, didn't vary much by location either.
The highest were to the south and east,
but even then it was just barely into the 60s.
Now, we picked up quite a bit of rain,
as we expected, half an inch to an inch or more.
We had some of the top spots
in our north counties there where it exceeded an inch worth of rain.
We're up to 1.79 for the month and actually running a slight surplus,
0.36 of an inch right now.
Now, we've been adding to that a little bit in the last couple
of hours, but it is starting to fizzle out a little.
It will continue to dry up, but the wind will ramp up
and the temperatures will cool down over the next little while.
You can see some stronger wind speeds
already starting to be reported there.
The wind shifting to the north
as this little trough makes its way through.
And for two or three hours here, we'll have a pretty gusty afternoon.
And then we actually settle down, clear out, and get kind of chilly.
Let's go look ahead with Sky Vision Plus.
So now as we roll through the animation, you'll notice the wind speeds.
Yes, still a few more sprinkles.
And then all of a sudden the wind calms down,
the skies clear out, and temperatures take a nosedive
so that it will be very chilly heading on into our Saturday morning.
Now, before we do that, we've still got to get through
these gusty winds, and the wind gusts could easily be 35,
pushing 40 miles an hour for a while.
Kind of a heads up for all the decorations I'm sure many
of you have out on the front lawn.
Speaking of it, while you're out there dealing with all the
decorations, make sure you deal with some of these sensitive plants,
decorative flowers things like that hanging baskets
that may not like this falling down to
28 maybe 30 degrees for many of our inland
and northern counties the lakeshore areas may be a
hair warmer but still frosty don't have to be it freezing to get frost
because the air temperature
is usually taken somewhere around four to six feet off
the ground whereas of course the frost
is on the ground and so it is usually
a few degrees cooler right up against the dirt and if
If that's where your plants are, they're not going to like that either.
So frost advisory for Ozaukee, Milwaukee, Racine, and Kenosha County.
And then we've got the freeze warning in place
for areas farther west and north from there.
Now, we may even see what's known as a hard freeze
in some cases, meaning 28 or below,
and that would be the end of the growing season.
But it doesn't last very long.
We're coming right out of this back into some warmer air
as soon as Saturday afternoon and Sunday,
and then right on into next week.
So our Fox 6 Day Planner starts off here pretty active, windy,
getting colder, going from 54 for a high down to 32 for a low.
Then 58 and sunny by Saturday afternoon.
That's not bad.
64 and sunny on Sunday up to the upper 60s near 70.
It's staying dry Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.
