That Donald Trump's violent mass deportation machine does not get a dime.
And it does not get a dime, because it's inconsistent
with the American values that have made our country exceptional.
There's a lot of repair work that is going to have to be done to correct
the injustices that have been inflicted on the American people
and on law-abiding immigrant families, and we're prepared to do that.
Good morning, everybody. What an honor and a privilege to be here in Pine Crest,
to be back in the great state of Florida, to be with all of you. Thank you,
Evert, for giving us an opportunity to visit this wonderful cafe, and we're
so thankful for the opportunities that you provide for so many people across.
The Miami-Dade community and beyond, and the wonderful food.
That you serve at this great institution,
it's wonderful to be here with Elliot Rodriguez.
He's the classic embodiment of the American dream.
He's worked hard. He was a straight shooter.
Conducted himself with integrity.
He was a voice for the Miami Dade community and beyond.
That you could always trust his information, his insight, and his objectivity.
Already having a phenomenal career, he decided,
however, that in the middle of the chaos.
The corruption, the confusion that exists right now,
that he has one more chapter, one more patriotic.
A chapter, which is why we're thankful that he made the decision.
To run for a seat in the United States Congress,
and with the help of the wonderful people in this community,
Elliot Rodriguez is going to be the next member of the House of Representatives.
What a powerful story.
About his own family's experience, about how life has become so unaffordable.
Here in South Florida, under Republican policies, and so unaffordable.
Across the United States of America.
We were promised that costs would go down, on day one. But costs haven't gone down.
Life has gotten way too expensive.
And the Trump tariffs have unfortunately increased costs on everyday Americans.
By thousands of dollars per year, made it difficult for entrepreneurs
and small business owners to be as successful as they otherwise might be.
We need dramatic change.
Here, in the United States of America, we need an economy that actually works.
For everyday Americans and for hardworking immigrant communities like those here
in South Florida, and that's exactly what Eliot Rodriguez is going to deliver.
In addition to fighting to make life more affordable, we also.
Believe that Donald Trump's violent mass deportation machine.
Is out of control. It's not what was promised. We were told.
That immigration enforcement was going to target the worst of the worst. Instead.
Taxpayer dollars are being used to kill.
Law-abiding, immigrant families break them up.
Or to actually kill American citizens like Renee Nicole Good.
And Alex Petty, we're committed.
To making sure that in this great country of ours, a nation.
Of hardworking, immigrants who come here to pursue the American dream.
Immigration enforcement should be fair. It should be just, and it should be humane.
And that's what Eliot Rodriguez is going to work hard.
Make life more affordable for everyone here.
In Miami-Dade, in South Florida, and throughout the country.
We're going to fight hard to make sure that immigration enforcement is fair,
just, and humane. We need comprehensive immigration enforcement here.
And it should be bipartisan.
And it should be done in a way that's consistent with who we are, as the best.
Of America, a nation of immigrants, and a nation anchored in the rule of law.
Lastly, and I'm thankful to Elliot's voice and advocacy.
This is not the America.
That the framers of the Constitution.
And others wanted to deliver to us 250 years.
Later, we believe in a nation that no one is above the law.
That people in government are actually focused on making life better.
For everyday Americans, instead,
your taxpayer dollars are being used in a reckless and costly war of choice.
Overseas that has skyrocketed gas prices on the people of Florida
and throughout the country.
And not made the American people.
Safer. We're committed to making sure your taxpayer dollars
are actually spent in a way that makes your life more affordable.
We stopped the attacks on Medicaid and Medicare.
And Social Security, Eliot Rodriguez will always stand up
to protect the Social Security and Medicare of the American people.
The corruption that's out of control right now. If you have people.
In high office, who are so focused on enriching themselves, their family members?
Their donors or their friends, and they're not focused.
On making life better for the American people.
Elliott is a man of intelligence. He's a man of inspiration.
He's a man of integrity. He's going to help us clean up the mess.
In Washington D.C.
It's going to help us fight for an affordable America.
It's going to help us make sure that immigration enforcement is fair,
just, and humane, and stand up.
For law-abiding immigrant families
and communities that have helped make this an exceptional nation.
And I'm looking forward to the moment with your help in just a few weeks.
When you elect.
Eliot Rodriguez as the next member of Congress from the 27th congressional district.
What do you do?
Obviously, been in South Florida for a very long time.
What do you do with the rise of DSA candidates
and therefore a campaign writer that uses the words socialism and communism?
What do you do, especially in South Florida, when you hear that so often?
Maybe I don't like the way things are now, but at least it's not bad.
How do you? Well, that's just rhetoric,
and that is just an easy way not to defend the record of what's happening right now.
To call somebody a socialist or a communist, I am far from that.
I am the product of capitalism, free enterprise, and hard work.
My parents came to this country from Cuba. My father's family's business
was confiscated by the government. They went from being
Owners of a business one day to being employees of the state the next day.
So I am very well aware of what communism has done to my community,
our community here, and I am far from that. So I don't worry about that.
That is an old canard that people understand that there's no truth to it.
I have a question for Leader Jeffries. Our let signs with CNN.
If I could ask about the broader map, the D Triple C says that there are 66 seats
in play, but that includes some very big reach seats like Baggett in Alaska,
Hill in Arkansas, Abice in Oklahoma.
Do you think those seats are actually in play? And if so, does
the D Triple C plan to start spending money in those races in these final weeks?
We're going to work incredibly hard to win as many seats as possible,
and we're making our case not.
To Democrats alone, or Independents alone, or Republicans alone,
we're going to make our case to the American people, because we believe
that the current administration's economic policies have failed this country.
Life is way too expensive. People are struggling all across Florida
and throughout the rest of the nation, and we need a dramatic change.
As a result of the fact that things have gotten so bad, so expensive,
so unaffordable, it has opened up opportunities all across the country.
But here in South Florida,
we're just thankful that you have an extraordinary candidate in Elliot Rodriguez,
who has decided to step forward, put his name in the ring.
Working hard to make his case to people all across this community
on a message of us actually being able to make sure we're delivering.
For the American people, as opposed to taking from the American people,
which is what we've seen from this current administration.
You're right here right now putting.
Mr. Alliot, you know the party is also upgrading to direct to the program,
but what else is to happen?
Are you trying to other national party branches have more money in the in the race?
What other financial organizational resources are you trying to provide?
This is an incredibly winnable seat,
because we have an incredibly compelling candidate.
Public servant, someone who is close to the community,
has lived in the community.
Has been a voice for the community during an extraordinary career in journalism,
and I'm going to be a forceful and strong advocate to make sure that we're
doing everything possible to ensure that Elliot Rodriguez has the resources.
To communicate to the people
here in South Florida,
because when that happens,
I'm confident he's going
to be successful. Yeah.
What do you think?
Sure, I'll take that.
I think it's obvious to everybody that this administration's policy in Cuba has
been a failure. This administration's policy in Venezuela has been a failure.
We thought it was about restoring democracy to those countries.
It's actually about enriching Donald Trump,
so he has access to the oil from Venezuela. And he actually said that it would
be interesting to build a casino or hotel in Cuba. I thought it was about democracy.
I thought it was about freeing political prisoners,
freedom of speech, freedom of the press, not enriching Donald Trump.
And I think our community realizes that.
They've opened up their eyes and they want a change.
I have a question: Will the new Congress under your new leadership will bring
back people who have been deported to third countries like Africa? I know many.
I think.
Of the two million people who follow me, we need action.
We need people who are suffering, families who are separated,
to bring back their families and their relatives. Would you do that?
Thank you for the question.
First of all, as we've made clear, we need dramatic change in terms
of the extreme immigration enforcement policies that have been inhumanely unleashed
on the American people and hardworking immigrant families,
and we've been serious about that from the very beginning.
And one of the things that we've done in this Congress.
Is continue to make clear
that Donald Trump's violent mass deportation machine does not get a dime.
And it does not get a dime, because it's inconsistent
with the American values that have made our country exceptional.
There's a lot of repair work that is going to have to be done to correct
the injustices that have been inflicted on the American people
and on law-abiding immigrant families, and we're prepared to do that work.
Thank you, everyone. Thank you. Thank you very much. Right.
