LeBron James Begins Final NBA Chapter at Madison Square Garden

NBA tips off tonight, and the big one, obviously, is in the Garden. You got it. The Mecca, baby. Madison Square Garden and New York Knicks are hosting the LeBron James 76ers. I don't know what this era is going to look like and how this ending is going to be for LeBron James, but no question about it. You've got a lot of question marks. There's a lot of great basketball players on that Sixers team, and Embiid has got to be the centerpiece of this. He's got to play more than 39 ballgames But again, this is going to be An interesting story this year With this 76ers team I work out with Reese every Sunday so I already know what type of player he is I'm here a lot The reason why I'm here is because of him What's the two-man action Between you and Tyrese? If you guys ran a thing and rolled He looked like a pocket pass to you I know you guys work out a lot But how does that translate to practice? Yeah, I mean, that's what you just said, to be able to put the reps in in practice, to rep it, rep it, and then be able to go from a practice court to a main court to the game, of course aggression. So it's a good set for us, it's a good movement for us, it's a good know that we can have that in our back pocket whenever we need it. It's a connection that we have, and some of the best things for us offensively is going going to be to get up the floor um pace and space we have athleticism we have guys that share the ball we have guys that can attack the paint with the dribble with the pass so um he was hanging behind the defense and recently you know found me out there with attention so is LeBron gonna be the Robin to Tyrese Maxey in this dynamic here last time he had something like this set up it was with D Wade down in Miami where you have an opportunity for a one-two punch to be able to go And then the other guy obviously isn't beating this conversation. We said it earlier, too, that Nick Nurse has got quite a dynamic to work around to try to get the basketball in the hands of some of these guys. What's the role of LeBron going to be? This is the final chapter in what is one of the greatest NBA careers of all time. You know, the debate on who's better, Jordan or LeBron James, Magic Johnson, Kareem, all those guys. I think it really is something here for LeBron to go out on top. Let's remember something here. Everybody kind of remembers, but they really don't want to remember how Jordan ended in Washington. 20 points, going nowhere, and it was really a sad ending, kind of in a way. And people try to erase that now because of that ending that he had in D.C. How will this ending be? LeBron has had a storybook career. You know, look, I'm a Michael Jordan guy. I think Jordan's the greatest player that's ever lived. I actually think that Jabbar is the second. The most unstoppable shot in the history of the NBA is the sky hook. Who would you want to have on the box with 10 seconds left in a game? Do you want a guy shooting a 30-footer or you want a guy shooting a 5-footer? That's why I take Kareem all the time. However, LeBron James is in that conversation and has a chance to go out and expand that legacy. The guys won NBA championships in three different cities with three MVPs in those cities as well it's been quite a career if you were going to have a class on how you represent yourself and how you go from rags to riches LeBron James is your course this guy has turned himself into a billionaire and this guy is one of the greatest basketball players not only just that but truly one of the greatest american sports athletes that's ever lived and the final chapter looks like it starts tonight in the place that we saw win a championship just a few months ago and that's in the mecca of Madison Square Garden
