So Friday, Craig, I believe, will be game one of the World Series.
And have they announced the starters?
I would imagine it's just Miz and Rasmussen.
There's no reason to think it's anything different.
I don't know if they've listed that yet, though.
No, you're right.
That's it.
I mean, they haven't listed anything, but those are the probables.
So I would assume that that's what you'll get.
And then, you know, the only question would be,
with the way that Peralta has pitched for Tampa,
would you now want to throw him Saturday?
in Milwaukee or do you wait to bring him back uh
the following Monday seems like that'd be a lot
of time off for him he's going
so good right now that i i would guess if i mean that it's tough
though man to have to pitch against your old team
in their house in the playoffs i mean i guess so
so uh if they do that then he'd go Saturday joe right
for uh Tampa that's what i would think
right and then for Milwaukee it's pretty simple
Henderson would go game two so i think those are
the first two and then we'll see where they decide
to go from there Nick Martinez will be involved
for the Rays, I'm sure, at some point.
And, you know, Milwaukee gets a little thinner
with their pitching after three.
So, we'll see what happens.
Yeah, I think Peralta is also going to be the key to this
moving forward, too, because legit number two,
I got to try and see.
I thought he was done.
I really, Brewers moving on from him, number one.
And then what we saw from the Mets was embarrassing.
And then going to Tampa, and all of a sudden,
he's a different guy velocity
is up i change up it like he's how much does coaching manage
at this level how much does it matter Craig
at this level because whatever
Tampa was doing Milwaukee wasn't
for whatever reason what what is that uh well i mean look
he wasn't horrendous with Milwaukee he
was horrendous with the Mets that's for sure he
was with the Mets uh i i think look
the when it's true you would think that when the Brewers
let you go you kind of got to start thinking oh they let you go
for a reason but a lot of a lot
of times Joe it's not for that it's just money they let guys go
because they're about to get paid
and like Corbin Burnes they let him sign somewhere else
or they traded him initially to Baltimore
because they knew they couldn't sign him
and then he ended up signing that mega deal with Arizona
so you answered you answered your own question
though like Tampa Bay just knows what to do
like they they get a hold of these guys
and get the best out of them a lot a lot of times it's
also the hitters but they
also a lot of teams Cleveland Milwaukee they put their the guys in
the best position to succeed whether it's
platooning they just understand how to use the
numbers how to incorporate their best pitches
and he's not the only example the Rays have been doing
this for so many years but a great example is Joe
and it it's very easy to do even this year too
all you got to do is take a look at who's closing games
for the Tampa Bay Rays Brian Baker go take
a look at Brian Baker's last six years of his career
and tell me that you saw 50 saves and an
ERA under two like i mean they just they know how to do it
and for me also with Tampa Bay when they
let you go when the Rays get rid of you like you got
to be a little worried about that player
because generally generally not always
the player doesn't end up uh doing well now there are
exceptions to the rule Arosarena of course has
been very good he's you know had a really good
year and the Rays make bad trades too
but but they get the best out of their players the Brewers get
the best out of their players the Guardians get
the best out of their players because they have
such great research and development great analytics departments
and they say they say
culture I don't I can't really speak
to that because I'm not there every day they say that's
a big part of it too so you just got to give credit
to them for knowing what to do and in
this case it ended up working the other thing
that I would say about those teams too that I
really like joe is that they're willing to take time with development
but joe if they think they've
got the most out of you this you know sell high
that's it you know if if that if they think that
that is it for you and they see the very best
in you you're going to probably end up playing
somewhere else next year wow it's
and you got to take that into consideration when you start
looking at some of these players greg right like why
with not always money it's also the concept
the belichick way i'd rather get rid of you
a year early than a year late right is that it because if
i gotta pay you uh then think i don't know
do you think they would have wanted to keep Snell
yeah i mean they were never going to be able to pay him
or glass now you know that's the problem
right yeah that's the money example right right
so so the rays so the rays gave i mean this is
a good trivia one it's pretty easy you'll remember
the rays they gave two big contracts out one was
Evan Longoria who was an all-time Ray uh didn't didn't finish
his career there but probably the
best Tampa Bay Ray in history
who was the other 100 million dollar contract they gave out to Joe
who was the other one that's the trivia
on the rays one other one yes they gave one out who was
it I'll give you a hint he's not on their team go ahead well
that doesn't shock me okay how about
another hint how about another hint no he's
in the Dominican like in jail like yes i know exactly
you're talking about yes
or isn't he trying to get back into the league too or something he's
never gonna play ever again he's never playing ever again Wander Franco
