Rays merch hitting shelves after big win

Watching us throughout the day, you know, the party started the second that final out was called last night. And so now the celebration shifting into full-blown World Series prep for both the team and fans. Fan gear already hitting the shelves. And FOX 13's Evan Axelbank is live at Dick's Sporting Goods at International Plaza. Show me the merch, Evan. Well, the trop was heaven last night for Rays fans. And indeed, Dick's is heaven for Rays fans this morning and this afternoon. Take a look. Look at this. This guy's speechless over the whole thing, right? Look at that. There it is. This is the logo you all want to see. 2026 World Series. That is the hat that Rays players are going to be wearing on the field. But there's lots of other cool stuff here too. This is the stuff they're going to be wearing in the locker room. I don't want to get in the way of the people shopping here, so I'll just show you real quick. Look at this. Brand new sweatshirt. Unbelievable. That is the proof that this is real. And all the way up and down this entire display here, You can see the Dick's employees making sure that everything is looking good and restocked. I've seen dozens of fans here coming in all day long. Well, how does that work? Well, a lot of this merch is pre-ordered in the event that they do win, and indeed, the Rays made good on that. Dozens of fans stopped by first thing in the morning to make sure that they got what they were looking for to commemorate the occasion. Hats, sweatshirts, t-shirts, lanyards, all of it. And all of it is going to be proudly worn by fans here in Tampa Bay. And to some fans, this was an emotional trip to the store that they made for somebody else. Why'd you come out shopping today? To buy a hat. For who? For my friend Julie, her dad, Larry. And he's in the hospital? He's in the hospital over at Advent. And he's doing good, but he's watching the game on TV. So I'm going to give him a hat. what do you think it'll mean to him to see this? Oh, he is. He's, I think he's going to be really happy. It's going to definitely make his day. It feels like kind of surreal, honestly. Like my dad, like he's like a really, really big fan. Um, he's lived in Tampa like his whole life. So seeing stuff like this, like it makes me happy for him because like being a fan and like, um, waiting all your whole life for that, he's like 50. So waiting that long, like, you know, like it must be really cool for him. So I was going to pick up some stuff for him. Now I will say as fun as it is to see stuff with the World Series logo on it you can see here World Series no time like like October you know what Rays fans really want to see not just the words World Series they want to see the words World Series champions and that indeed would be the next display here that we hope to see at Dick's in the next couple of weeks and we're going to find out guys whether this this stuff is going to have to be amended to not just be World Series but World Series champions we'll see they don't call us Tampa Bay for nothing, Evan, I'm curious if you if you just bought one piece today, uh, would it be a hat, a sweatshirt, t-shirt, like what do you got your eye on?
