All right. So maybe some of you thought, yeah, it feels like
we're getting creeping up there in the temperatures yesterday.
But then you think back to like where we were just about a week ago,
almost hitting a hundred. And I think the 80s are are nice. The 80s feel nice.
Although tomorrow some spots might actually get close to 90. Really?
You know, I mean, we'll be in the territory, which we thought we were.
Well, some people thought we were done.
Yeah, but you can never write it off.
Let's talk about today. So no 90s today.
We're actually off to an interesting start, which I'll show you.
you here in a minute with some split temperatures out
the door that dashed line to our south is a
short-lived trough of low pressure that's going
to bring the chance for some showers and even a
few thunderstorms from Matagorda Bay down
to deep south Texas today won't really affect us other
than the fact that we have some morning clouds
those should move to the south and provide us
with a nice uh sort of mostly sunny afternoon i believe
in most locations by the way marine
weather out there smooth on the bays
but offshore it is still pretty bumpy right now a huge difference
from north to south that all has to do with cloud cover
with an overcast sky helping to keep
conditions actually very mild right now
from the south side of Houston down the Gulf Freeway down
288 temperatures are in the 70s there
but to the north quickly falling off into the middle 50s and
probably dropping into the low 50s as the morning wears
on otherwise what you'll see there is rain
to the south again from Palacios down to Brownsville
and everybody else is rain free a different story
out to the west. This is going to be one
of the big sort of national stories today is keeping an
eye on Arizona, where Sally once lived,
that actually has a rare chance for seeing severe
weather today. It's not that it never happens,
but there's a rare enhanced risk for seeing things
like large hail and even tornadoes,
mostly to the north of Phoenix heading into this afternoon and
evening and even tomorrow as well.
Down to the south, we're going to be watching that L, which
is going to become the 20th named storm
of the eastern pacific season the name is going to be
Vance and actually some of the moisture
from that system could move in our direction by Halloween
now i'm not going to say we're not getting hit
by a hurricane for Halloween i'm just saying some of
that moisture will be pushed
into Texas yeah yeah yeah talk about spooky yeah that wouldn't happen
so pleasant nights and warm days that'll take us through
the weekend next week we will start to see
cloudier skies and some off and on showers beginning on Tuesday,
especially, and then continuing kind of off and on through the week.
