Hi guys! Всем привет! Welcome to my channel Alla's Yummy Food.
Today I'm going to show you how to make this delicious apple
and pear marmalade with cinnamon.
It's absolutely delicious. I love it.
It almost tastes like a candy made with fruit,
which is what it technically is.
And it's just so much healthier and better for you.
And yeah, I'm so excited to have you here. Now let's get started.
over here i've got my ripe pears and ripe apples
and some water with vanilla extract now first
thing we're gonna do we're gonna deseed
and core our apples and pears just to get rid of any seeds
and anything that we don't want then gonna go ahead
and basically chop up your pears into small
pieces and you're gonna do the same with your apples
so just go ahead we're not gonna remove
the skin because we're gonna seed our mixture through later
so even if you get any bits it's
okay don't worry about it once you've chopped up your pears
and apples you're gonna go ahead and
add your vanilla water into the pot together with all your apples
and pears then go ahead add your
sugar and cinnamon as well as nutmeg
or any other spices that you like i love the allspice so
usually add that in as well but if you just want to keep it apples
and pears without cinnamon
anything you can also exclude this in a small pot add
your pectin with sugar mix it through
it's really important that you mix these two together
and we're going to set this aside for
later we're going to cook our apples and pears with sugar
and cinnamon for a good 5 to 20 minutes
depending on how softened they are so if you're using more ripe pears
and apples they will cook
faster and you might need to add more water as it cooks
because they will dry out so if that
happens don't be scared to add a little bit of more water
and keep cooking them until you use
a test with a fork or knife and just prick your pears
and make sure they are softened fully you're
then going to transfer everything into your food blender
or food processor and blitz until you get
nice smooth puree just like this now i usually
transfer it into a different bowl and then i
blitz it with a hand blender one more time
because food processor isn't that strong so if you have
a really good food processor you can do it all in one
and then we're going to transfer it into our
pot and i like to sieve it through just
in case there are any bits that we don't want in our
mixture and you can see there's quite a lot of skin
and just waste that we don't want in our
final marmalade so once you've got
the final puree mixture it should look just like this it already
looks amazing and you can eat it just on its own
and we're gonna leave it on the stove and cook it
for a few minutes and as soon as you see it's starting
to bubble you're going to go ahead
and add your sugar and pectin sugar and pectin mixture
and just cook it on a low to medium
temperature mixing it constantly we're going
to be cooking this for a couple of minutes until
all your sugar and pectin is cooked
and the mixture becomes more thick this shouldn't take
more than two to three minutes don't be tempted
to overcook this once it's done you're gonna
transfer it into your mold or ring of your choice on a silicone mat
or parchment paper and just
quickly even it out as the marmalade sets pretty quickly
so just use a spoon and go around the
sides to make sure it's nice
and even once it sets after four hours or so you'll be able to
remove the mold quite easily
and your marmalade is nearly done it will look just like this
now final steps are to add sugar into your mold
and then cut your marmalade into any shapes that
you desire and you can of course eat it as it
is like this on its own it tastes absolutely amazing
and delicious however traditionally we dip it into more sugar
and coat it all around just like
so from all the sides and there you have it our beautiful marmalade
and pear and there you have
it our beautiful apple and pear marmalade it honestly tastes
so good such an amazing candy
and i can eat this all day long they're just chewy
and crunchy from the sugar and i love them so much
