Well, today's rain clouds right now moving on out of town looks like
a dry weather pattern that will take us into the weekend.
But what about some more rainfall?
We'll take a look long range here at the forecast model.
We'll go ahead and put it into motion. And a lot
of these numbers happening in the short term, maybe into next week.
We could be talking about some rain up along the north coast
of California, but it looks like a pretty quiet weather pattern,
at least for right now over the next five days here in the Bay Area.
No significant storms out there. Now, what could be happening?
What will be happening? If you look at the tide charts
that we will have by increasing high tides, especially
as we do move into Sunday and into early next week.
So not issued just yet, but there is a coastal flood advisory
that will likely be issued by the National Weather Service.
The peak high tides can happen in late morning
into the early afternoon hours,
so we could have some minor flooding near parts of the Bay Shore line
if we do head into next week.
So just keep that in mind with those high
tides scheduled late in the morning
into the early portion of the afternoon.
Showing you this, the satellite,
you can still see on the satellite and radar loop,
still a lot of cloud cover here and some green,
indicating the rainfall over portions of northern california
but things have been changing over the
past few hours right now we still have mostly cloudy skies
in place a few leftover showers
closer to a sacramento and all this action kind
of moving on out to the east that cool air though
is kind of still moving in so as a result we just have some 50s
to report right now santa cruz 59
oakland in the upper 50s
and San Jose the cool spot 52, they'll be back down into the 40s
overnight here's a live camera looking out toward
the Oakland estuary there's San Francisco in the
distance and we have some cloud cover out there
but also some breaks in the cloud cover so we're
gonna wake up to some gray first thing tomorrow morning
and definitely bundle up those temperatures
mainly in the 40s to the lower 50s
so a bit of a chill in the air first thing tomorrow morning
here is today's system this trough that moved
into northern California basically for a good
portion of the west this area of high pressure
though it's the key feature it wants to build
in beginning tomorrow and into the weekend
so a bit of a warmer forecast for Friday Saturday and
Sunday. Lots of 60s, lots of 70s with this pattern in place.
So it's going to set up more
of a northerly breeze. So we could have gusty winds
in the Bay Area Hills, especially in the
North Bay Mountains with gusts going up above 30 miles an hour.
So that will bump up the fire
danger a bit, but no red flag fire warnings.
Here we go tonight. The cloud cover out there.
And then tomorrow morning, starting out the day
with still some scattered clouds. And then look
at this. The clouds vanish with mostly sunny skies.
As we take this into your Saturday,
Still mostly sunny skies on Saturday.
One-week system moves in on Sunday, and as a result,
it's going to bring in the extra cloud cover on Sunday.
We can still get outside all weekend long.
Highs for tomorrow will be in the 60s
and the low to mid-70s for the warmest locations.
So cloud cover in the morning, increasing sunshine,
increasing temperatures as we head into Saturday.
Scattered high clouds on Sunday.
Cool things off a little bit into early next week,
but these are all just some minor changes headed our way.
But overall, it's a nice forecast as we head toward the weekend.
All right. Thank you, Mark.
