We have a really nice next few days ahead.
Basically, rinse and repeat forecast today
from what we've been seeing the last few days.
Brisk morning, warm afternoon, whole lot of sunshine.
Then, as we head into early next week, a few more clouds.
Temperatures will be dropping just slightly.
The problem is we're going to be moving into an environment
with a little bit more humidity that will be coming from the Gulf.
So, get outside and enjoy the weekend while you can
because things are likely going to be changing.
We're going to start to see some of this moisture coming up, tropical
moisture at best, through mid-late week and really into next weekend.
It does look like there's going to be this passing front rolling by,
and that could also aid in the chance for some thunderstorms.
Now, that's potentially moving in for your Halloween forecast.
Models still not in agreement.
I'm going to show you two.
This is our GFS forecast model.
You can see clouds will be prevalent Thursday,
Friday, but it's pretty much backed off on a lot
of the heavy rain, at least through Southeast Texas.
It has it more in North Texas. That's
an update we just got, and you're seeing it first here on Fox 26.
The European model does look to be
a little bit wetter, and it does look like we're
actually rendering right now. So we kind of had
to stop the futurecast on Friday,
but it looks like a lot of that heavy rain may be staying out
to our west but lots of things can change between now
and then so keep that in mind don't go
canceling any halloween plans
or anything like that but once we get closer we will have a better
idea in the short term heaviest rain possible
and the flash flood risk extended from portions of
west texas across new mexico
and into colorado they've been getting hit with day after day
of heavy rain flooding and even some strong to severe storms
so the threat for the heaviest
rain over the next few days going to be in that region
and even portions of south texas as that
tropical moisture rolls in for us we're going
to be pretty dry during that time maybe a few isolated
showers but like i mentioned it's really not going
to be rolling in until the end of october
and likely through the start of november you
also got to keep in mind that we have election day on
Tuesday November 3rd and if we
do see some scattered showers that could potentially be
impacting lines so keep that in mind try
to do so while we stay dry early vote this upcoming week
temperatures are likely going to be staying above average
but i guarantee you that is no shocker to
anyone that's watching or has lived here through
the fall uh in southeast texas you know we get
like a fake fall and it gets warm again cool again
so we're kind of in that nice trend at least for
now thankfully the tropics are quiet
at this time i don't see anything brewing over the next seven
days. But there we go. Our rain chances
on the rise by the end of next week.
