Fox 26 is your Gulf Coast Weather Authority.
Here's meteorologist Angie Rodriguez with a look at your forecast.
Angie, it was really nice outside earlier today.
And it is really nice right now.
We can see right now there are a couple of clouds in the skies
which are keeping us just a little bit cooler than what we've
been experiencing this afternoon. 77 degrees.
And I want to point out the humidity is at 36% for us here in Houston.
Okay, regular values are between 80 to 90%.
So we are significantly drier than what we are today.
used to. Now, highs today did register mostly across
the board in the low 80s, but a couple
of us out in LaPorte and Cleveland were able to stay
in the 70s at 79 degrees for the highs today.
Now, if you do plan on heading out tomorrow for early voting,
you do have from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
If you do want to head out in the earlier part of the morning,
you will be able to experience a
little bit of those lower 60s, which will be really nice.
And then here in downtown Houston,
And we'll be heating up just shy of 80 degrees,
but that is not going to be the case if you are further inland.
Specifically in places like Montgomery County,
you'll heat up just a little bit more just
because you're a little bit more inland than us here in downtown.
So you'll be heating up just a little bit more into those mid 80s.
But in Splendora, it seemed like 83 degrees, so not too bad.
It really just depends where you are.
You might have noticed we're
in this pattern where we're like cooler in the mornings
and you have to put on maybe a jacket or a cardigan or a coat.
then by the time that you get outside
and you're taking your lunch break or in the 80s and you're
going to really feel these 80s as we continue throughout
the second half of the week and we
start to change that pattern
so taking a look at our GFS model we're going to see there is some
tropical moisture that is going to be making its way
into the Houston area specifically during the
second half of the week
which unfortunately is Halloween right just remember Halloween is on
Saturday. So we had a couple of disagreements between our models
and it seems like they are
now coming to a common consensus
that unfortunately it's probably going to rain.
Right now I want to walk you through our GFS,
which is showing us that we are seeing some rain
out in West Texas that will make its way towards us here in Houston.
And then it'll do the same
thing on Saturday in the morning.
We'll see it Saturday night, which remember, Saturday night
is Halloween. I wouldn't cancel any plans, but just keep that in mind.
Our models might update
and hopefully they do so I can lower those rain chances for you.
But for now, I do have us at
about a 40%. I do think it's probably going
to stay like that Friday into Saturday, but we'll
clear out during the second half on Sunday.
So just keep that in mind as you make your plans.
And don't forget to move your clock back an hour on Sunday at 2 a.m.
