James Coffin will report today with a midnight past
or middle of the night space weather update.
Right now, planet Earth is experiencing no solar winds
and no solar plasma,
no impacts from any solar activity or cosmic activity.
We know this by looking at our KP index as seen here.
Now, we've got some problems inbound.
All right, our GOES solar ultraviolet
imager has just recorded a M9.33,
very close to an X-flare, directly Earth-facing.
You couldn't be any more Earth-facing than this flare was.
This could be big problems with the lack
of shields that Earth has currently.
So it was a very strong explosion,
and it was accompanied with a coronal mass ejection.
The second or third that we've had Earthbound today.
You better watch out for the fifth and sixth.
It's going to get ugly.
Now, today, June 3rd, 2026, we've already
had two very powerful M-class solar flares.
Both of them were almost an X-class flare.
We're not quite sure what's going on.
We'll take a look at GOES solar ultraviolet imager together.
It looks like one was a 9.5 and one was maybe a 9.6.
Let's get some more information.
I knew we were heating up,
and I mentioned that there could
be additional flares in the near-term future,
and that exact thing just happened.
All right, ladies and gentlemen,
over to spaceweatherlive.com and see the first print
the M9.33 pop off we don't have information
on the latest looks like it was a strong M flare almost
an X flare both look like they came
from AR 4455 directly Earth facing we saw the big
M 3.3 flare come from AR 4455 earlier along with
the M 1.2 both generating coronal mass ejections inbound now
this could be a one two three four
five six seven eight nine ten punch we don't know how big
the second flare is but it's very close
to an X flare over to the HMI intensogram we still have 10 sun spots
that are basically Earth facing
AR 4455 is by all means ugly the ugliest one
that we have probably going to become
Beta, Gamma, or Delta
in a few hours.
AR-4458 looks ugly as well.
But we have to decide
where this last flare came from together
since it has not come up
on anyone's charts yet.
AR-4461 has delivered
an M flare as well today,
an M1.2.
An ugly day.
I think AR-4455
is going to be the culprit for both the last two M9+,
and maybe X flares, but M9-plus flares for sure.
All right, taking a look at both the flares that happened today.
It looks like they both came from AR-4455.
That's a sunspot here.
We've got a bunch of dangerous sunspots coming around the limb.
Noah did warn us about the sunspot,
And I warned you guys last week,
although it seemed to dissipate, it's now back in action.
Here's the first, doesn't look like anything, first M9.33 flare.
And this is the flare that we haven't got a handle on yet.
Watch this.
Gotta be an X flare.
Gotta be.
Look at the plasma leaving
from our star.
Unbelievable.
unbelievable this is huge this is going
to be the second of the two M9 flares it looks like an
X flare to me but we're gonna go with M9 it pretty much
is one of the scariest flares as far as
plasma release that i have ever witnessed look
at that ongoing two hour plasma release so it looks to
mean like we have four coronal mass ejections
inbound minimally minimally and they're going
to get worse as it goes let's hope that well
the two strong ones don't catch the weak ones
and turn into a cannibal coronal mass ejection
which actually i predict will occur a cannibal
mass ejection here inbound for earth here probably
on the fifth at some point midday
these explosions are very very strong very fast coming off
our sun and they shouldn't take but
well less than 40 45 hours maximum to get here
to the planet over to our deep region absorption
prediction center you can see that first flare coming
on that was nothing this is over the
pacific and it lights up bright the radio alternation
is not significant or as significant
as i thought it may be but remember we're only dealing
with m flares here as we go further we
should see another flare here see if we can find it should
be towards the end of this there it is
right there that was going to be right over india the middle east
and africa our sun is misbehaving
big time with a one-two punch after we already had four
in flares they were all inbound well
maybe not one of them maybe not the 4461
but three that were already inbound before this
situation I guess I would call it right so there
you have it uh after having four implosers today
we've had to follow up very strong implosers
if not X flares I believe all from 4455
look like M 9.3 M 9.5 ish uh we're waiting
on results from the second one definitely inbound
uh well it's gonna be a busy couple of days busy couple
of days y'all get ready for geomagnetic
storms uh over a 72 hour period
and this could continue this could be just a start
If we get a direct Earth-facing X-Flare, well, we'll talk again.
If my computer will run.
I knew something was happening because it wouldn't actually feed.
God bless you guys.
