That's what I'm talking about. That's what I'm talking about. Fort Huron, it's time for a change. Michigan families are paying some of the highest gasoline prices in the Midwest. Our unemployment is among the highest in America. Our children are falling behind. Our infrastructure is crumbling below our feet. And many of our young people are leaving to find the opportunity that we came here to find. It is time for a change. Jocelyn Benson and Democrats will just blame Trump, because I don't have anything else to run on. But I got a little secret I'm going to tell you. Here's the truth. President Trump has only been back in the White House for less than two years. Jocelyn has been a part of the failures among Democrats in Lansing that have been there for eight years straight. Two of those full years under President Biden, Democrats had the trifecta in Lansing. They had the power. They passed their agenda and their suffering they authored. It's time for a change. They are now spending roughly $20 billion more than Michigan spent during the height of COVID. Our state budget is nearly 50% larger than it was under Governor Snyder. Does your child's school feel 50% better than it was eight years ago? How about your health care? How about your damn roads? Michigan now ranks 46th out of 50 overall. 46. That's 11 spots worse than California. We rank 45th in education, 43rd in economy, 42nd in infrastructure, our 4th graders rank 44th in the nation in reading. 45 states are doing better than us and every single one of them has the same president that we do. It's time for a change. Johnson-Vinson promises a new direction. She's been a part of the failures in Lansing that got us here in the first place. Sixteen illegals voted in our elections that we know of, numerous racial discrimination lawsuits and personally pocketing $370,000 from data centers. And now she's teaming up with Abdul El-Sayed, the Midwest Mamdani, to impose a socialist agenda that has never worked anywhere it's been tried. A hundred and fifty years ago, Lincoln warned, America will not be destroyed from the outside. If we falter, if we lose our freedoms, it'll be because we destroyed ourselves. A century later, Reagan warned us, freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. is not something we pass along to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed to them to do the same. But check this out. Lincoln didn't fight the Civil War just to beat the South. He and the Republican Party that was founded in the state of Michigan stood up to end up the physical bondage of black people and keep this nation together. And today, because of you, because of you spreading the word and voting, we will stand up against socialism and hold our state together for the future of our children. This This is not only about defeating leftist Democrats. We must make it about freeing those trapped in political and economic bondage in our cities and winning back a generation that has been turned towards socialism on our campuses. We will counter the socialist movement of envy and confiscation with a conservative movement of access and opportunity. We must show this generation that free will and free enterprise still benefit each and every single one of us without sacrificing compassion and conscientiousness for all of us. how we win. That's how America wins and that is how we change the future. President Trump is back in Michigan today because he sees, yes, President Trump is back in Michigan today because he sees what the rest of the country missed. He sees a state built by people just like you who started with nothing and built everything. Auto workers, farmers, engineers, small business owners, the people who still show up, still build, and still believe this place can be great again. He knows that Michigan was never meant to be the last in the nation. Not in education, not in economy, not in infrastructure, and not while Democrats in Lansing are more focused on fixing the blame than fixing our problems. Michigan voters are done with the excuses. They're tired of being told this is the best that we can do. They're ready for leadership. They're ready for change. They're ready for someone who sees the same greatness in the state the president sees and is willing to fight for it. I am that man. I am that warrior and I will continue to fight for each and every single one of you. My brothers and sisters, I did not fight in Iraq to lose this war here at home. I've never left anyone behind on the battlefield and I'm not about to start leaving Michigan behind today. Nine days, nine days for the rest of our lives, nine days. We need to vote like Michigan's future depends on it because it does. Talk to everyone you owe, leave no stone unturned. It's time for a change.
