Well, it is 17 minutes after the hour here.
I'm sorry, I keep telling you the time
because I'm used to working in the mornings.
Maybe you don't care what time it is, but now you know either way.
All right, so when you're taking a look at the weather here,
you've got to get ready for two things, Angie.
One, possibility of rain is coming our way.
And also, next week, we change our clocks.
Oh, and also, it's Halloween.
That's right.
Oh my gosh, right, which unfortunately,
I have some good news and some bad news, right,
depending on which model we look at.
But first and foremost, if you are heading out today
or for the rest of the week and you have allergies,
I want to let you know that there are some things
that have a little bit of a higher reading of pollen,
specifically for tree.
Tree and mold is pretty low.
Grass and tree is going to be at a moderate level.
And then ragweed specifically, as you can see, is towards the extreme.
So if you do have allergies,
maybe you have some type of sensitivity and you're heading outdoors,
you just want to make sure that you are careful despite
that though it is an absolutely gorgeous
day and it has been an absolutely gorgeous weekend
so far currently we are at 81 degrees
and that humidity even
though it's reading 54 for us here in Houston that's relatively low
compared to what we are used to so as we continue throughout
the next few days you might have noticed
we're in a little bit of a pattern where we're waking up
in the low mid 60s and then we increase
into the low 80s during the day
so that's kind of the pattern that we're going to be stuck in
for the next few days though we are going
to be increasing our humidity rain chances right now
and over the weekend as you can see
are completely gone there's some clouds that are going to be
rolling through but nothing too heavy that's going
to bring bring us any rain but as we move
throughout the middle to the second half
of the week we're really going to get this plume of
moisture that's going to be moving in specifically towards
the end of the week which could have
some impacts on Halloween depending on which model you look
at so i want to show you our GFS model
this one is saying that yes there is going
to be some rain it's going to stay towards the west side
of Texas and then it's going to stay there
and we're going to be relatively dry now if we look
at our other model you're going to see
that the European model is agreeing in the first half saying
yeah yeah there is going to be some rain it
is going to stay on the west side of Texas but
the European model is actually saying unfortunately i
do think this moisture is going to move into the
Houston area and we'll probably have some rain
for Halloween now it really just depends we're
still pretty far out so as we continue to monitor
the next few days we'll make sure to keep you
updated on that but again rain chances
are increasing as we move throughout the rest of
the week that's just because that humidity is increasing
but we'll make sure to keep you updated
on the latest right here on Fox 26.
