This is HEARTBREAKING...Jalen Williams suffers major injury

The Thunder just got their hearts ripped right out of their chests
and smashed into a million
pieces tonight.
Closing minutes of the game, Jalen Williams gets hit,
goes down with a significant leg
injury, stretchered off, and it is extensive, folks.
We've got immediate updates
and a pretty raw reaction right here sitting down at my
camera right after having to witness something that,
I mean, words can't put it into correct
feelings right now.
gut wrenched I mean sick
to my stomach heartbroken J-Dub everything that this man
has been through and what last season
was finally getting back to health J-Dub just left this game
against the Clippers tonight
with a devastating lower leg injury prayers go up to J-Dub this is
I mean obviously one of the most important players
on the Thunders roster and a guy that as he goes
OKC goes and just listen
to Shai Gilgeous-Alexander right after this game.
Yeah, I don't even know.
I just feel bad for him. Nothing more than that.
I mean, my God, there's just no way, no way this is real, dude.
There's just no way. I mean,
the team is heartbroken, right?
When you see everyone out there on the bench, on the court,
in tears, covering their faces,
finishing out the rest of this game that literally doesn't matter.
I could not care less about the results of this game from tonight.
It was 108-101 Thunder,
but I don't care in the slightest.
The only thing I'm taking away from this is that the Clippers
and Chris Dunn, especially the one who hit J-Dub in air,
hate watch for life, for life. Nothing
but the worst for the Clippers for the rest of time.
This is what Mark Dagnall said right after
the game, in the postgame.
Obviously, we don't know very much of what happened in terms of with
the actual injury, but you know that it's, I mean,
the soul got sucked out of this team tonight,
and J-Dub, we're not going to show any photos of his injury.
We're not going to show the video
of his injury. This was him coming off of the floor.
They put the air cast on his left leg.
he gave some thumbs up the whole crowd tonight
at home in the Paycom was stunned silenced they
chanted J-Dub did the best they could to get through
the rest of this game but i mean there
there's nothing that's gonna make this feel better
for Oklahoma City anytime soon nothing nothing's
gonna make this feel better
for a while what he had happened tonight you don't come back from
in a month in two months in three months in six months
in nine months this is gonna take a long
time for J-Dub and it's gonna take a long time
for this team to heal they're gonna play basketball
again tomorrow they're gonna have no choice
but this team man they this season just took a serious
turn and it's night three i mean it's still october
and everything just changed if you didn't
see the video you can go watch it if you want
to if you don't do good with that kind of thing
don't go watch it i'll just tell you his left foot
was facing the wrong way uh i mean he lands he
comes down and the foot is facing outside the leg
and the knee are this way so it's at worst
incredibly dislocated i guess at best
at worst it's it's broken down there but again none of that
none of that really matters right now other than just
the feelings in the immediate gut punch that
this gives to everyone.
And before we go into any videos here on this channel, we get into any
conversations about the basketball side
of this and what this does to the Thunder, because that
is obvious. This team will not be the same
the rest of the season without Jalen Williams, but
none of that matters right now, aside from knowing if J-Dub is okay.
The Thunder typically don't put
out health updates on players.
I think they'll be pretty quick to let people know this time around
that their star guard slash forward is okay.
I think they're gonna be pretty quick
to let us know exactly what's going on.
We're gonna wait for the medical team's update
before we know exactly what the timetable looks like
for him, exactly what he's gonna have to go through
and what this team is gonna have to do without him.
But as of now, all that matters is J-Dub,
his health, obviously his mental health too,
because that's a huge aspect to all of this.
And with the season he had last year,
four separate quad strains,
He had to have a wrist surgery two off seasons ago,
and then literally when he is in the
best shape, in the best health that he's been in,
in a year and a half, man, he, I'm lost
for words.
I am lost, lost, lost for words.
Forget the game.
The shockwaves that this just sent is awful, awful, heartbreaking.
literally a day ago I saw this man in Stillwater
at the Oklahoma State football game hanging out
getting barked at by 50,000 plus fans happy excited smile
on his face I mean things can
change so quick and life can change
so quick in this league I just cannot believe it I genuinely
cannot believe that this just happened like
this this is this is stunning awful and and this is
all at the end of a game that already was horrible.
I mean, the Thunder, they lost J. Will with a wrist injury,
and they lost Cason Wallace to a shoulder injury in this game already.
And Cason Wallace's injury doesn't look good either.
He looks like he's going to miss some considerable time
with what could be a left shoulder dislocation.
Obviously not going to fully speculate on what that might be,
but it looks like Kaysen is going to miss quite a bit of time.
J-Will leaves this game, and all of that feels just so,
so far in the distance now when you
consider what just happened to J-Dub and the awful,
awful, awful leg injury that he just
suffered.
Again, I'm not going to show any of this on the channel,
any of the actual videos of what
happened or the photos of his leg.
It was facing the wrong way.
It's the type of thing that you see with the Paul George injury,
with the Gordon Hayward
injury, with Dak Prescott's leg injury
that he had a couple years ago that I'm sure some
of you guys out there are Dallas Cowboys fans.
It hurts when you watch it happen to somebody,
to an athlete that you don't really associate
with, somebody that you don't necessarily root for.
But when it happens to somebody that you've watched come
from being a player in the college
ranks go to I mean obviously you know come
from Santa Clara come to Oklahoma City help lead this
team to an NBA finals championship he has
a season pretty much taken from him last year and it
happened to him again and he had no control over
this none none none at all and I I'm I'm upset
honestly I am really mad when I
when I look at how this happened I'm not saying that he did it
on purpose I'm not saying that he did it on purpose at all
but the way that this happened
with Chris Dunn coming in flying
in cutting him off hip checking him taking out his right leg
he landed awkwardly because of Chris Dunn right
so this could have been avoided if there was a
little bit less of a reckless closeout reckless abandonment
for somebody else's health and
well-being so again it's going to be Clippers hate watch
for the rest of time now I don't care
I hope you take away their draft picks
for the next 15 years I hope they lose every game for
the next 20 years I hope that Steve Ballmer has
to sell the team I hope that Chris Dunn that he
gets shipped off somewhere
and then eventually ends up overseas I don't know I am so pissed
right now and again this is right after this all happened
so a lot of my reaction is probably going
to be over the top whatever you may call it
but this is raw and I think that a lot of you guys
are feeling raw too the update's gonna come
but just know that this is extensive regardless and
so the Thunder are gonna have to play
a basketball game tomorrow night they're gonna have to play
against the Phoenix Suns on a back-to-back
and I promise you right now nobody in that building not
the fans not Mark Dagnall not Sam Presti
not anyone else in the front office not Shea Gilder
Alexander not Alex Caruso not anybody else on that team
is going to care in the slightest about that
game all that matters right now is their friend one
of their best friends someone they call their
brother their family just got absolutely soul crushed
in front of a ton of people and this
this just sucks so bad i mean awful i want you guys
to let me know down below how you're feeling
after this let me know in the comments say some prayers
for j-dub as well um just let me know how
you guys are feeling because obviously
as i've said there's gonna be videos i'm gonna make on
this going over just what this does to the Thunder season
because that is obvious the Thunder season
will not be the same without J-Dub
and he's gonna miss a lot of time but we just need to know what
happens first we need to know what he's gonna
do we need to know what exactly it is that happens
and then just go from there we're gonna have a ton
of videos a ton of content a ton of breakdowns
on this over the next couple of days
so go subscribe down below if you guys want to be in
on all the news. Anything that happens that comes out,
we're going to be putting it up first things
first immediately when we know exactly what's going on.
I'm in shock. I'm forming incoherent
sentences because I don't know what to say.
I'm in complete shock. I mean, I was in silence,
literally, literally in silence on the verge
of tears for a half hour, right? And I'm sure a lot
of you were the same way. Obviously, tears were shed by the players.
Tears were shed by staffers
and by plenty of people in that arena,
J-Dub was in shock, and obviously so, right?
I mean, I just feel so awful for him, man.
Appreciate you guys for watching.
We'll have a ton of new content coming up,
but this is the worst case scenario.
This is the worst possible video
I could have ever imagined making on Sunday, October 25th.
I couldn't have imagined something worse.
We'll see you guys next time here on Thunder Digest.
