USC Trojans discuss their offensive struggles

Alex, you guys held it down rushing
while I was pretty good in that first quarter,
and you kind of got away from me a little bit for the rest of the game.
What was the big change there?
It just wasn't good enough.
We've got to be better, and we will be.
We're going to own it, and we'll be better next week.
Just dominate one play at a time, do what we're coached to do,
do what we do every day in practice.
At the end of the day, we just didn't execute good enough.
We had a chance as a defense to step up,
and we didn't seize the moment.
Yeah, just the biggest thing was the scoring zone.
I mean, once we would cross the 50, we just weren't very good.
You know, we had the two turnovers early.
One was a, you know, really good throw.
We didn't make the catch, and our guy was there.
I mean, those happened some.
And we just kind of took our turns with a couple of key drops.
We had a couple of missed protections.
You know, we missed a few things.
I had several bad calls.
Yeah, we just got to where we were moving it,
but then we just weren't scoring points, you know.
And then, you know, it got to the point
where we had to throw it a bunch,
and we gave up some pressures, gave up some sacks.
I had some bad calls in that moment.
They did a good job keeping us off balance there.
