WITHOUT PRODUCT REVIEWS, SPONSORS, DONATIONS AND STICKER SALES, I’d have to go back to work and not do ANY videos, because you can’t live without any income.
Henry from Mowers and Blowers shares his experience using a 22-ton log splitter to prepare firewood for several seasons. He also demonstrates how to assemble a custom bagger system for an old tractor using salvaged parts and reviews a new 450-piece Work Pro mobile tool chest used to complete the project.
Hey guys, how you doing? It's Henry at Mowers and Blowers.
Another gorgeous day today and I
can't help but come on out here and start messing with my log splitter.
I absolutely love this thing.
I don't know what I'm going to do with it after I'm done
with all the wood because this is
something that you use when you need it to chop wood, right?
You're not always going to be chopping
wood every day of your life.
So I don't even know where I'm going to store this thing, but it is a
fantastic piece of machinery uh if you guys have a fireplace
and you like to burn wood
to get free wood this is the best way to do it
um so this thing costs about a thousand dollars
uh depends on where you go the build hard website i believe
is 9.99 home depot is like 12.99 and i
think amazon is like 11.99 depends on where you shop
for it uh this is the 22 ton they make stuff
as big as like 35 tons it's huge
and they make smaller ones like electric ones that are like
eight horsepower or something 15 tons something like
that but i absolutely love it uh i need to
do this today all these logs
and stack them into cords of course the bobster's out here i think he
smells like um grubs and stuff that came out
of the tree whatever it's protein i'm gonna put uh
the cord that i chopped from that right there
the wood that was here was chopped up and
stacked here that's that's a lot of wood
this is three rows deep it looks like it's gonna fall
over but whatever i'll put like a tarp over it
to keep it dry it's very satisfying to have cut that
into those
cords grubs
i smell
grubs yeah
grubs yummy
protein
wood to cut
was already
sputtering
on the last drop i think total i put
in maybe two gallons total since i got it so really fuel
efficient actually i probably used this thing
for about five six hours total continuously running on
throttle uh this blade is like super sharp now
because when it was new it was covered with paint
you know but now run my fingers through it it's super sharp
this thing performed awesome
absolutely love it i mean i'm dead
but check out all the wood i cut massive amounts of wood
this is enough wood for like three seasons man
four seasons even i gotta stack all this wood
in there and
in there like
that did you
have fun boby
no boring i'm
dead just got
like barely
walk barely stand up straight i hid the log splitter
in that shed took some bullshit stuff
out put somewhere else you know i thought i had more wood than i
do it's not even that high
and it's double rowed here, double row over there.
It's not even that high. I think I need to find
some more wood. I'll keep my eye out on the street.
If I see firewood, I'll pick it up. But for now,
this will be good for the next couple of years.
And now that I've chopped all this stuff up,
it'll dry quicker so that maybe when I really need it, it'll burn.
Now on to the next thing.
Good morning. It's the next day.
It's time to work on this thing again. This is Frank,
the UPS guy's old tractor.
I still haven't sold it, and I don't really know why. The price must
be too much. Anyway, today I'm going to try to make
a bagger system for this one. I only had two pieces
for this. This is the mower chute for this deck.
This is the tube that connects to this one that
goes into the bagger. What I didn't have was the bins
and the top cover frame, but recently a guy
that I got two tractors from was throwing out his old stuff,
and in it was this. This is what I
needed. This was the missing piece that I didn't have.
It also came with the top cover. However,
the reason why the top cover fell off was because this thing is broken,
and this part is missing.
But I have the exact cover from another pick,
and while this is kind of damaged, this one's intact.
so this one's gonna work so i'll just put
this cover onto this frame and the mounting bracket
onto the tractor he only had one bin
but i recently went to my mom's house and i found
one extra bin this is an old murray one it
also fits that bracket this is a hard bin though the
other one is a soft bin but it'll work it just won't match
and also this is cracked on the bottom
nothing some black gorilla tape won't fix it is after all only leaves
so it looks like i have
almost everything i need to make a bagger system
for frank the ups guy's tractor one hard bin one
soft bin two blower tube chutes this top cover
for this bracket i do however need to find one
long stud that goes all the way through to hold
the top cover onto the bracket. I also need to
find four bolts to mount the bracket.
What is he barking at?
Whenever I'm in the backyard and I'm
trying to work on something over here
so I don't have to bring it to the garage to fix, I always
have to walk back to the garage to get the tools.
This is my new field tool chest from my friends
over at Work Pro I just got
in the mail I'm gonna open it up right now see what's inside
plastic construction with a rubber coated
handle lift cool all different size wrenches
9/16, 1/2, 7/16, 3/8, 5/16 and then you got
your metric 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 millimeter wrenches
also Torx bits hex your standard size Phillips square bits
for deck fasteners in this box Allen
key tools super tiny wrenches metric Allen keys I
didn't know there was a difference 20 piece SAE
20 piece metric cool better fit it has three other
drawers of tools so you open this and this slides
out and this slides out wow look at all these
sockets metric SAE and deep sockets too and the
final drawer got your half inch ratchet half inch
sockets torque sockets hex sockets and assorted
drill bits every kind of spark plug socket Work Pro build
a better project 450 piece deluxe mobile
toolbox. Perfect to store in my backyard when I need tools.
I actually needed to bend this up to
get this screwdriver
so I can take this plastic film off.
Let's take our 3/8 ratchet and a 9/16
socket and go remove four bolts that I need to secure
the bracket onto the tractor. I have another
old hauler back there that might have the bolts that I need.
That's right. Out of all the tractors
I have I know I
have the bolts
and they're
right there
so there you go
some nuts and
bolts use the
Work Pro tools to put it together, got both baggers
in here, hard bin on the left, soft bin on the right
fit perfectly, this doesn't have the rubber coping fell out
but it's good enough, tubes fit on there
perfectly, now we have a bagger system
for this tractor, made up from parts thanks to Work Pro
for the 450 piece toolkit, it comes with everything you need
although i wish you could have put some
pliers in there, pliers are very useful, i may do with wrenches
but sometimes pliers really help out
that might be something you want
to integrate into your kit as you saw i
also taped up that seat
so just getting ---- done, i'm exhausted
from those two projects, if you guys want this 450 piece
Work Pro tool chest, i'll leave a link
in the description, hope you guys enjoyed the get ----
done video, remember to like, share
and subscribe, that will continue to bring you getting ---- done
videos, have a great day, we'll see you guys next time on mowers
and blowers, i'll just put this
tool chest in this shed so i'll always have tools
when i need it, see you guys next time, mowers and
blowers, i'm on mowers
and blowers, mowers and blowers
