Found blower not running, traced problem to control board. Bypassed, and went to shop to pick up a board. Will return.

Video Summary
AI GeneratedA technician diagnoses an HVAC unit that fails to kick on automatically. After testing the control board, the technician discovers that the board is not passing the necessary 240 volts to the blower motor despite receiving a signal from the thermostat. A temporary jumper is installed to restore airflow until a replacement board can be fitted.
I kind of noticed it last night, it was a little warm in here,
and I noticed that the unit wouldn't even kick on.
And Chris, he was telling me a lot of times if we turn it down
or whatever, it takes about five minutes for it to kick on.
Yes, sir.
But the only way I got it on,
I had to put it on on our own, like running the fan.
Yes, sir.
Then switch it over and turn the air on.
It got kind of cool then.
Let me, I don't hear the fan running.
Let me, um.
It's cold
control
board.
They're
calling
on the
thermostat
for the
fan to
come
on. I
suspect
it's not
passing
I suspect it's not passing voltage right here
But we got to check make sure
it's getting a call first
Here's my green
and I think blue is coming
so we're going to check
right there on the board.
The board's getting
24 volts 26 volts on green
so we should
be getting power to this
black wire right here
these are
unused red and
blue these are
speed tabs i'll
show you what
i'm tracing
power's
still on
right now so i'm being careful this wire right here
is one leg of my 240 volts that goes to my
blower motor this is it right here so i gotta get
240 volts between that leg and that black wire
right there so let's go we're going
to pull black wire off and test
the terminal power is still on
right now I have
to be real
careful
testing between
this terminal it
is not
getting voltage which
is there this is this one is
normally closed and I think
that red there comes from your heat
strips hard to show you what I'm tracing
this I
can't
really
see so
that
comes
out of
this one
the red
should
be power
constantly I was wrong this is normally
closed and this is normally open so when
that this is that goes straight to my transformer
so that has power all the time we just have to
well just confirm that we got power 240 um i'm
gonna put a splitter on that and make that run
until we can get
a board and i'll show
you how i do that all
right power's off
this is basically
just jumping power to my blower so i'm getting
power straight to my black wire and i'm gonna
put it on here that way i can don't lose track
of which wires go where
fan should
come
on trying
to explain
but when
a motor
is not
working
first
things you
got to do
is verify that it's getting proper voltage to the right terminals
and that's what i was checking on
that board to make sure it was getting 240 volts it wasn't i kind
of suspected that when i put my
hands on it and it was cold
to the touch always make sure you're getting voltage
and then if you're getting voltage it's still
not working check your capacitor not
working about time to replace it
but that one wasn't getting voltage i'm
gonna try to get a hold of a board
and get back over there as fast as I can
