AI GeneratedMilwaukee is buzzing with excitement as the Brewers prepare for Game 5 of the World Series. The city is celebrating with watch parties at American Family Field, tributes to the legendary Bob Uecker, and showcases of passionate fan culture. Alongside the sports fever, the broadcast provides regional weather forecasts and traffic updates for the local community.
Milwaukee's most trusted morning news show.
All right, good morning, everybody.
Welcome back to Wake Up Here, 8 o'clock.
Let's keep the good times rolling, my friends.
Let's do it.
And we're going to keep the good times rolling with the Brewers.
We are feeling very optimistic.
We're cool.
Oh, yeah, we got this.
No problem at all.
I say we like I have anything to do.
Like we're on the roster.
You know, it feels like it's the royal we.
It's going to be a really good night for the watch parties.
It's a little foggy right now as we check out
our North High School camp, for example.
Visibility is down to about a mile and a half,
which certainly isn't a huge problem, but it is reduced visibility.
So please watch for that in a few areas today.
Lots of sunshine from the tower cam.
Right now it's 52 in Milwaukee.
Just got the update from Waukesha, also 52.
Wake up, Kenosha coming in at 49.
Now there are some showers way off to our west, but I
do not expect anything in our neighborhood until much later in the day.
And in the meantime,
we climb up to around 72 degrees for our high today, way above average.
Again, some of these showers do roll in, but I think it'll
be post-watch time, so that's some good news right there.
There's your watch party planner.
We'll look at the six-day planner in just a few minutes.
Of the roads here at 8:01,
I have one incident to report for you guys.
Also, a lot of disabled vehicles popping up right now,
so a good reminder to take things slow
and always move over a lane
or two if you're able to if you come across one of those.
But with 794 north, just beyond Layton Avenue,
we're told the left lane is currently blocked due to an incident.
Working on getting some more clarity
as to what exactly is happening there.
But otherwise, along 94, near the ballpark, of course,
that usual delay for ongoing construction where lanes get reduced.
All right, folks, we are gearing up for Game 5 of the World Series.
Of course, unfortunately, because the Brewers fell
to the Tampa Bay Rays last night at the Trop.
But we're optimistic, Haley.
We know they put up a good fight as well in those extra innings.
Yeah, and of course, as we look ahead to tonight's game,
we have full World Series coverage
with our Nicola Junowicz outside AmFam
and Stephanie Quirk at the Uke Memorial.
But first, let's check in with our Lily Zhao, who's down in Florida,
taking a look back at Game 4.
Lily, it was a long one.
It was a close one.
It was good baseball.
It was good baseball outside of the final outcome for the Brewers.
And, guys, we're on Eastern time zone.
here, and this game wrapped up just after midnight,
and so the Brewers really have to
turn the page quickly to a game five, but guess what?
They're only dealing with just their second
loss in the postseason.
The Rays coming back in that 12th inning to delay the champagne showers
for Milwaukee for at least one more night
as they look to close it out there. That 12th inning,
though, was decisive. I remember saying it'd
be nice to end it in this inning, but I was hoping
it would be the Brewers and not the Rays responding,
so after Cooper Pratt's massive
home run that got the Brewers faithful rocking inside the trop.
The Rays got to Shane Drohan
there at the bottom of the 12th inning.
Unfortunately, this game will now be in a game five, but manager
Pat Murphy and the other players offered
up some perspective after a tough loss.
Understand it's going to be hard.
You know, it's going to be hard. You're playing the best team in
the American League. They proved it all year long
and they came up big today. It's going to be hard.
You know, it's not, when you're achieving something like this,
it's going to have its adversity.
You know, we had some things go our way yesterday.
They had some things go their way today.
So that's the way it is.
You just live with it, and if you're a competitor,
you wake up tomorrow morning, come ready to play.
I think a loss is a loss.
Yeah, I mean, losing by 10 runs is the same
as losing by one run in the 12th.
So, I mean, yeah, it's over.
It's done with and looking forward to tomorrow.
The game's over.
On to tomorrow.
I mean, it's pretty much that simple.
As simple as we talk about winning those games,
we didn't win it tonight.
And like I said, you just got to flush and prepare for tomorrow.
That's as simple as you want to make it.
You have to appreciate that mindset from the Brewers,
and they have lived by the motto, being undaunted all season long.
This is a team that is really known for how they respond.
So they will try to see if they can respond
in a winning fashion later tonight in Game 5.
And I know it's a tough loss for the Brewers and their fans,
but they have to know that no team
in the World Series has ever come back from being down 3-0.
So we'll see if the Brewers can hold serve tonight
and celebrate and pop some champagne.
Back to you.
That's right, Lily.
The odds are in our favor,
and we will keep that in mind today as we get ready for Game 5.
Thanks so much.
Well, so during the postseason run,
there have been so many fond memories of Bob Uecker, right?
And Mr. Baseball, of course,
would have loved to have been here to celebrate with the team,
making it this far, and of course, just be within the city as well.
Well, Nicola is out at Ueck's second home,
American Family Field, this morning.
Nicola, how's it going over there?
I know not necessarily the celebration we expected this morning,
but things are still looking okay for us.
Yeah, hi, Haley. Hi, Donovan. I love that.
This truly was Ueck's home away from home.
And his spirit, I can tell you,
is still very much felt inside of this ballpark and also down in Tampa.
I think, you know, it's hard not to go through
this World Series run here and not think about him,
how much this would have meant to him and how much he would have loved
to have been here to call one of these epic games
because we know that they have just been nail biters,
to say the very least.
And nobody knows that better than the guys behind Uke.
The documentary that was released in the spring,
played in Marcus Theaters over the summer.
It's actually back in Marcus Theatres
right now during this World Series run.
I'm so grateful to be joined live by Steve Farr,
the director of Marquess, who's doing PR for the film Uke.
Gentlemen, good morning to you.
Good morning, Nicola.
All right, so I got to start with you.
You spent a lot of time with Uke during his last couple of years here.
What would this have meant to him?
Boy, I mean, I think it would mean everything to him.
You know, if you've seen the film, you know how it ends.
And losing that game against the Mets in 24 was just heartbreaking.
And I know when that happened,
I knew Bob knew it was probably his last call.
But I think he had so much faith in the team and the organization
and the young players on this team.
So I'm sure he's looking down on this and is one happy camper.
You allude there to that shot that was just
so iconic in the documentary
where you see him sitting in the booth.
and he's got his head down, and it's just
like he knows that that's his last game,
but nobody else does yet because he
was really private about what he was going through.
When you think about that, what do you think about that?
Well, I mean, it's probably
the toughest moment in the film for everybody,
for anybody that's watching that film
because you know the finality of it all.
I mean, just moving forward,
I just have so much faith in this team
and respect for the organization.
I'm just so happy for everyone involved
that here we are in a World Series.
You know, the timing couldn't be better, obviously, you know.
Yeah.
Oh, for sure.
And, Mark, you know that as well.
Obviously, for folks at home who want to see Uke,
maybe they didn't have an opportunity over the summer,
they can see it right now in Marcus Theaters.
It's in eight Marcus Theaters through at least next week.
Correct, all the way through November 6th.
So it's getting a really good response.
Great to have out again.
But just, I mean, it's just a chance
to really go see the movie this afternoon
and then watch hopefully them win a series tonight.
Think about that.
Think about spending the afternoon with Uke
and then going to watch the Brewers win a series.
I mean, it would be amazing.
What a perfect way to celebrate, for sure.
Okay, so we're talking about the ending of Uke
and how now it might have a different ending.
Can you guys talk to me a little bit about the re-release?
Well, what we're looking at doing right now
is obviously modifying the ending.
It's not going to be a wholesale re-edit of the film
or anything like that,
but we certainly have to reflect what's going on right now.
Hopefully it's a World Series victory tonight.
And so it'll be just basically a coda at the end of the film
that will bring everybody up to speed and on a happy note.
A happy note, for sure.
All right.
And so November 6th, is there a chance that it could be extended even?
I mean, obviously, if the Brewers win,
there's going to be so much interest.
I think it could be extended then.
Beautiful.
Yeah, I think we've heard it through the end of November, right?
People are going to be so happy.
They're going to want to see you for a long time.
I hope so.
I mean, dare I say, even through the holidays.
All right.
Right.
You should help us call it, you know, I mean,
quickly call up Marcus and then, yeah, I'll put
in a good word. I'll put in a good word.
Gentlemen, thank you so much for all the work that you did
on this wonderful documentary for folks at home.
Uh, Don Haley, if you guys have not seen the
documentary, you, I will tell you, it is just sensational.
So well done emotional, especially
going into this World Series here where, you know,
it's hard not to think about, um, how much you
would have loved this oh all right
so now we're going to go actually this is really perfect here
we're going to go live to the Uke statue
or excuse me the Uke mural in downtown Milwaukee
that is where we find
our Stephanie Quirk. Hey there Steph. Hey, yes it's very fitting that we
are here for our live shot location this morning
and we know last night all the players you know
honored Bob Uke during the stand-up to cancer that moment
which i know like me and
many of you watching just totally gave me chills uh
but today we're actually talking about how fans
are also showing up for the brew crew
so i want you to take a look at some of these photos here
because this is one fan we spoke with, his name's Tyrone Henry
and he turned his car into a brewer's
mobile. What a ride, rolling out in style
so it's his uh actually he says that that blue car he had
it already it was already painted the color
and of course in honor of the World Series and the
the Brew Crew doing so well. He said, you know what?
Why not just turn it into not a Batmobile,
but a Brewermobile and take a listen to the response he's gotten
Just downtown at the Deer District.
The Deer District during the watch party,
it was super big to the point where I just walked away
from the car. It was so many questions. I'm
like, yeah, I'm gonna go this way. I know.
So amazing. So if you've been to any of the
watch parties downtown or just really across the city,
you might have spotted the Brewermobile
otherwise perhaps you'll see it around town back
to you guys cannot wait to see that car driving
around Hayley, i feel like that's what i love about
the World Series right now is that we're seeing
all of these different kind of ways to display
your pride pop up around the city it's just
a great time to be in Milwaukee
and in Wisconsin thanks Steph all right still ahead here on a wake
up Brian Kripke is out where you might want
to be before Game 5 tonight we're checking out
what he's exploring in terms of drinks,
food, good people, and good eats.
Good bobblehead collection.
You know what I'm saying.
I like that.
Fox 6 Wake Up News, Milwaukee's most trusted morning news show.
All right, you guys, a little bit
of breaking news for all the Brewers fans
who are waiting to hear the details
for the Game 5 World Series watch party at AmFam.
The Brewers once again welcoming fans
into the ballpark tonight for a watch party.
It's all going to kick off at 7.
of course for the first pitch
but parking lots will open at 4:30 gates will open at 5 p.m
tickets are going to be available
to season seat members starting at 10 this morning and then
they'll go on sale for the general public at noon tickets will be $15
and fans can purchase up to six
tickets per person parking also available starting at 10
so get your alarm out right now either 10
a.m. or noon because we know these are going
to sell out very quickly they're probably going to
be resold too like all those resellers
which is so irritating like don't be that $900 that
Nicola was talking about in her previous hits
on around the resale market yeah 15 don't be that
person if you can't go leave it for somebody
who can also what i love that the brewers are doing
is the 15 all the net proceeds go to the community foundation they have
so also know you're you're
helping out the community by going to these watch parties.
There you go.
And if you're going to be that person, donate some of that.
To the cause.
At least then you can be helpful.
And then our Venmo's.
We'll put the QR code up for you in a minute.
All right, we have some beautiful weather for today,
and I think we're good to go
for the watch parties tonight as well, the outdoor ones.
As we look live to Manitowoc, what a spectacular start to our day
with all that blue sky and sunshine.
There is a little fog out there, but it is already thinning out.
the northeast portion of the state
and the northeast part of our viewing area seems to be
the most impacted. We've got Port Washington,
as you can see there, some reduced visibility. Same
at West Bend, Sheboygan, and a little pocket down around
the Burlington area as well. Pretty common.
Burlington's a bit of a valley on a hill,
so it kind of sets the scene pretty easily for some of
that fog. Look at this pretty picture, though,
with all the beautiful fall foliage and just a
little bit of fog kind of hanging around Newburgh.
A little bit more as we check in with North Lake.
Now, big picture doesn't show much in the upper levels,
not much of anything on the radar.
Steady flow from the south is pretty light right now,
but that'll pick up ahead of the approaching cold front.
And the cold front and the showers associated with it look
to hold off until pretty late tonight, more really into the overnight.
So let's go track that with Sky Vision Plus.
Now, short term, again, sunshine, lots of it,
steady south breeze, perfect recipe for a very mild day.
We stay dry through the evening and then after probably 10
or 11 o'clock, some of these showers start to roll through.
So unless we get back into another extra inning situation,
we should be dry for the outdoor watch parties.
Might have a rumble of thunder through midnight into the early hours
of Thursday, but by 7 or 8 o'clock, we are winding that down.
Not a major rainfall event. I think a tenth of an inch,
maybe two tenths of an inch in a couple of spots.
Now from the Fox weather model, you see from the statewide view,
that very narrow but effective band of showers,
maybe the occasional rumble.
And then look at this, beautifully clear through
the remainder of the day on Thursday.
Still looking good into our Friday morning,
but by Friday night and into Halloween on Saturday,
it starts to get a little cloudier.
A few showers, every time we update this,
it's a little bit different with placement and intensity,
but safe to say at least a few showers will
be in your Halloween forecast,
So plan around that, and hopefully we'll get
a dry enough window for the trick-or-treaters.
Mostly in the low 70s today,
way above the mid-50s average for this time of year.
Drop back down to near 60 overnight tonight for yet another warm day
in what has already been a top 10 October
when it comes to all-time warmth for the month.
And we don't really break this.
It'll get a little cooler,
but even the days ahead that are cooler are still above average,
and that looks to go right on in to the first few days of November.
So our Fox 6 Day Planner, sunny and 72 today,
some rain showers overnight into Thursday morning,
high near 70 Thursday, 60 on Friday, 62 Halloween Saturday,
mid-60s by Sunday and Monday.
Our homes hold the story of our lives.

Six Wake Up News,
Milwaukee's most trusted morning news show.
While the Brewers are writing a new chapter in baseball history,
the walls at one local hotspot are filled with stories from the game.
Brian Crimp is checking out the memorabilia at Fourth Base
that makes this restaurant Crimp a must-stop for Brewers fans.
Yeah, you can't even, if you were to look around right from where I am,
you can't see a blank spot in the wall anywhere to be found,
and that was purposeful.
I think originally with your dad, CJ,
it started, and he was a big baseball fan.
Roberto Clemente, I mean, I see him all over the place.
Was he a Pirates fan or a Roberto fan?
He was specifically a Clemente fan.
A Clemente fan.
Yeah, so, I mean, some of those old Pirates teams just had
so many just all-time greats on it.
My dad, now in his 70s, grew up watching a lot of those guys.
And it's so good to see him, that he sees you doing what you're doing,
taking the bar over, the restaurant over,
and then also sharing that with your family as well.
So it's not just Clemente, though.
As we go back to the nostalgia on the wall,
you see the Braves, you see the Yankees,
you see baseball in all different eras why why i
guess why don't you take it down why don't you
replace it um i think a lot of it is um it's great
for some of our out of town fans that they get to
find something in here that always like represents them
no matter where you're from and you on social
media you posted that Joe Torre you know a manager
for years player for years was in here and they're
doing a documentary shooting something
and he saw on the walls what uh yeah i mean there's uh there's
There's a few photos of him from his days with the Milwaukee Braves.
I think right back there in the corner, isn't that him swinging?
Yep.
And just one of the unique things is just that a guy
that had maybe never walked in here before,
realizing that he's a part of this place as well.
It just must have meant the world to him
and also for those people that come in.
Brewers that played, I know that you have
those guys stopping in regularly with their kids as well.
Yeah, so Tim Dillard, I get to see him quite
a few times throughout the year.
He had the opportunity to bring his son to one of the playoff games,
and then they stopped in here for a bite to eat.
And then a lot of times it'll be some of the radio guys
and some of the different personalities
that you see on social media will stop in.
Haven't had any luck with any of the actual players now.
Yet, but you know what?
There's that possibility.
It's very close to AmFam Field here.
I mean, we're just about a mile or less away.
It's nostalgia over place.
It's a great place to hang before, during, and after the game.
It's 4th Base Restaurant here in West Milwaukee.
More Fox 6 Wake Up coming back after the break, guys.
Thanks, CJ.
Attorney General.
Fox 6 Wake Up News, Milwaukee's most trusted morning news show.
Good morning and welcome back to Wake Up.
Of course, we are waking up optimistic
for what could happen later on today
and optimistic that, could we break a record today, Rob?
Four.
Is it going to be really warm?
Well, no, not record-breaking warm.
Not quite in that territory, but it is well above average.
We're going to be a good, you know, 10, 15 degrees warmer than average.
But no, the record goes actually way back, though.
I believe it's from the late 1800s, maybe early 1900s.
So, yeah, it's been a minute since we've had that kind of heat,
but it is a very nice day.
Even with some of this fog, it's not bad out there.
Visibility is reduced in the northeast corner of our viewing area,
particularly up around Sheboygan and north of Ozaukee County.
We have 52 right now. The wind is very calm.
Once it picks up a bit from the south, that'll help out with the fog
and push these temperatures a little bit, too.
The sunshine obviously helping.
You see some showers way to our west, but I don't expect
anything until closer to maybe 10 o'clock at the earliest.
That should mean that the outdoor watch parties will stay dry.
Lots of sun today. High near 72.
Okay, folks, let's give you a check of the morning commute here at 831.
All right, as I take a look around the area,
we're seeing a number of disabled vehicles out there.
In terms of crashes, though, not really seeing anything.
I'm taking a closer look here.
That is going to be too much of a hindrance.
We are actually seeing an issue at I-41-894 North, at 41-43-894 West.
The two right lanes in that area are blocked
because of a crash that did just pop up on our traffic map.
We'll see if we can get a visual
of that in the coming minutes here on WakeUp.
But independent of that, just be mindful of the construction
that will cause congestion as you get out the door.
Want to get now to our big story?
The World Series is going into Game 5 after
the Brewers unfortunately lost last night to the Rays in extra innings.
It was an incredible nail-biting game.
The crew still only needs, though,
one more win and could bring that World Series home to us to celebrate.
It is a game.
It's games like the one coming up tonight,
though, where legends are made.
Yeah, the heroes tonight will likely be bobbleheads next season.
And Nicola is actually learning all about that this morning.
Should we bob like a bobblehead?
Right.
Hey, guys.
Good morning to you.
Yes, we are here live at American Family Field.
I keep saying that this place really
feels like the calm after the storm.
This place was rocking last night for Game 4.
31,000 tickets were sold to the watch party.
And we did just get word from the Brewers that,
yes, there will be a Game 5 watch party tonight.
tickets for that go on sale in about an hour
and a half here and you may recall from last week
they went they sold out within a matter of minutes
so you definitely want to check
or set the alarms on your phones here to make sure
that you are you know on the brewers tickets
website to purchase those tickets for the watch party tonight
which again it starts at seven
o'clock um fifteen dollars once again you can buy up to six seats okay
so that's the latest here
from the ballpark i think guys every anyone
who's taking in this world series magic is really going
want a piece of it to take home with them.
We've seen that at the team store here. We've also seen
it in the community as well.
And we've also seen it at the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and
Museum. I'm so grateful to be joined live by co-founder Phil Sklar.
Good morning to you, Phil.
Good morning. Thanks for having me.
Okay, so walk our viewers through here. How did this whole
relationship between the Brewers and Bobbleheads start?
Yeah, I mean, the Brewers are one of the
first Major League Baseball teams to hop
on the bobblehead bandwagon in the early 2000s. The
Giants started it off. The Brewers just started
giving away bobbleheads. Fans loved it. They
lined up at the stadium,
and bobbleheads have become a great part of the Brewers' history ever
since. And of course, we know that oftentimes bobbleheads
are super popular on their giveaway
nights here, but you've got some extra special ones just
for the World Series. Can you show our
viewers some of the new ones that you're selling right now
that they could possibly add to their
collection to remember this historic run?
Yeah, so some of the newer ones that we have here are
the Jacob Misiorowski and Jackson Chourio Neon Bobbleheads,
so those light up. We have the Game
of Thrones Bobbleheads featuring all five of the racing sausages
and their Iron Throne along with
Barrelman, and we're doing half off for those during
the World Series, so a fun, exciting way
for fans to get involved. We got Bernie Gold here.
We have quite a few other Brewers Bobbleheads,
so store.bobbleheadhall.com.
Type in Brewers or stop by the museum. We're open 10 to 6,
Monday through Friday and 10 to 5 on the weekends,
and we have dozens of bobbleheads for the brewers
that you can take home right then.
I wanted to ask you about that, Phil. With the World Series
being at home just this past weekend here,
did you see extra foot traffic at the Hall of Fame and
Museum? We did, yes. Whenever the brewers are home,
we see a lot of traffic, but the World Series
brought in even more people. We had Fox Sports come by.
They were there for three and a half
hours filming bobbleheads for a segment they
were using for the World Series. MLB came by to film
some content so yeah it's been really exciting uh
to have the world series right here in milwaukee
oh for sure and like what better way guys
to remember this historic occasion than with one
of these bobbleheads is it okay
if i test them out phil make sure that they're the bobbleheads
are bobbing everything bobbles this one's nice
and loose oh he's really going and these light
up you said is that right yeah so you can sort
of see that here we got the sunlight but yeah
light up and a really cool effect
and something fun for our fans out there oh beautiful love them
All right, guys, certainly a wonderful
collector's item, a little memento here,
as we all are going to be remembering
this World Series run for many, many years to come.
I'll send it back to you.
Oh, those bobbleheads look amazing.
I honestly can't wait to see what they
look like next year with those MVPs.
And, you know, who gets the bobbleheads?
I feel like I could picture a Cooper Pratt Homer one
or Sal Frelick with that catch.
It's going to be exciting.
It's going to be unreal.
The trophy, duh.
All of the above.
Let's not get too ahead of ourselves.
Fair, fair.
We've got to get through tonight first.
Well, Brewers fans can be just as dedicated as the players,
and some can become actually just as famous.
Okay, Stephanie Quirk is out at the Uecker Memorial sharing
the story of one fan in their impressive hot ride.
Steph, good morning.
Hey, good morning.
We know there's tributes literally
all across Milwaukee for the Brewers.
People are showing up and showing out with their pride
in any kind of way that they really want to.
specifically here though downtown you'll see lights you'll see
the iconic colors of course
we're live here at the staples too honoring bob uecker here
the mural downtown but perhaps one
that might stand out a newer one uh anytime you spot it
on the streets it is almost impossible
to miss. Take a look here, this car is just totally decked out
this is Tyrone Henry's car, he owns it
And it's actually a 1988 Caprice, Chevy Caprice, that is.
So he transformed it into a rolling,
basically a rolling Brewer's billboard.
And as you can imagine, it's getting a lot of attention around town.
The car, actually, he tells us,
was painted years ago in his favorite shade of blue.
But, of course, with the brew crew in the World Series,
he said, why not make it totally decked out for the team?
And the decals actually were made as a surprise ahead
of the game one for the World Series, which, guess what?
It just so happened to fall on his birthday.
You can imagine the reaction, let's just say, is drawing a crowd in.
Take a listen.
Just downtown at the Deer District.
The Deer District during the watch party,
it was super big to the point where I just walked away from the car.
There were so many questions.
I'm like, yeah, I'm going to go this way.
It also says that it's almost impossible to go anywhere in that car,
which you can imagine without somebody coming
and wanting to take a picture or honestly,
I want to ride and I want to I want to see the inside.
I mean, that thing is so cool. So what a way to just show up
and show up for the brew crew and cheer them on.
And of course, you know, he's been at the watch parties.
So if you've been at any of them downtown, you might have spotted him.
Perhaps if not, maybe tonight, maybe,
you know, maybe you'll see it downtown.
town or around the city. Back to you guys.
Steph, you're a millennial. Do you remember
MTV's Pimp My Ride? You probably remember. Yes.
Doesn't that car remind you of something off
of that show, guys? I do, yes, yes. Oh my gosh.
Wait, you literally, Donovan, I was like trying
to put my, like, okay, it was on the tip of my finger.
I'm like, what, or tip of my tongue,
whatever, what it was.
I couldn't put my finger on what it gave me a memory of, but now I just
like my brain is wow i'm sorry i'm having a mind-blowing moment
because i wake up right now
i just unlocked a memory that she didn't realize
she had forgotten you did that's what's going on
with quirk right now and you know what that face
was a lot of what we were probably making watching
the game last night yes

And then the crew will return if necessary for games six and
seven to our neck of the woods,
which you can watch right here on Fox 6 at 7 p.m. Well, that
brings us to our Fox 6 InstaPoll question.
Get your phones ready because you can answer by aiming
your device's camera at the QR code on your screen.
You can also just go to fox6now.com
/poll we want to know do you think we will see
the Brewers in a game six at American Family
Field you can vote either yes win it all at home
or no Brewers in five you can vote right now and
we'll check back throughout the morning right now
i wouldn't say either options running away with it
but no Brewers in five that's what i voted
for yeah Brewers in five baby you know what i like
the perspective here though if we don't get it
in five we get to win it at home come on that's also
great too all right coming up ahead here Brian Cramp
is going to be live preparing to show us
some of the delicious food offered by one restaurant
in our neck of the woods we'll take
you to fourth base for more food
and fun right after the break oh boy good morning everybody
taking a live view over Tropicana Field here
in Saint Petersburg Florida where we will see
our guys hopefully dominate in game five
of the World Series we know last night wasn't what we
wanted to see but let me tell you something there
is a light at the end of the tunnel Hayley that's
Right. Well, even though the Brewers did face a tough loss last night,
we still like to continue our friendly conversations
with our sister station out in Tampa Bay.
Our friend Walter Allen from Good Day Tampa Bay joining us once again.
Walter, yesterday you said you felt deflated.
Are you a little inflated today?
Now, if you know me, I'm always deflated. That's just kind of my...
Now, we got a little pep in our step.
Yeah, I mean, there's a faint pulse there with this team.
So, yeah, hopefully we can stretch it into maybe another game,
maybe an entire series.
But finally we got to see the Rays that we have been seeing all year.
I know there's been talk about, you know, the other teams.
You know, we heard a lot about you guys coming into this series
and how well you were during the regular season.
And so it's nice that we can show off a little bit of what made us
so successful during a regular season,
which is really kind of what you guys did that made you
so successful during a regular season.
You're talking about, you know, two-strike hitting
and taking advantage of your opportunities, that sort of thing.
What a thrilling game last night.
We have a lot of tired people in town, that's for sure.
Walter, you guys are not alone.
Donovan speaking to you here.
We've never met, but I'm glad to meet you, sir.
Listen, okay, so Johnny DeLuca
and Chandler were pretty much some of the MVP,
some of the heroes for your team yesterday.
Great defense.
You think they're going to be back at it in the same way,
in the same capacity tonight?
We hope so.
You know, I mean, those guys have contributed all year long
and continue to do so.
I think the surprising thing for us
was the offensive production by Ben Williamson,
who got the walk-off hit.
You know, he's not typically known for his offense,
He's more of a defensive guy.
I mean, he graduated from William & Mary four years ago,
and so he's still kind of new to the whole Major League Baseball thing,
and he plays fantastic defense.
He's one of the reasons, along with him and Tanner Walls,
that middle infield right there, they are superb, really.
Usually, with an exception of game three, usually nothing gets by them.
So to see them really contribute,
especially Ben contribute offensively last night,
which is what we like to see.
Absolutely. Okay, let's go back to the 12th inning here.
You know, Brewers fans excited. Cooper Pratt hits a homer.
How are you feeling? Because for us, we went high to low.
You guys got to go low to high.
i mean really you know i'll
be a hundred percent full transparency here i was in bed i go to bed
at like last night was like 5 30
because i just i can't hang i'm up at 145 in the morning and
i'm on here by four so you guys know but um when i go back
and i re-watch everything yeah i mean
as a Braves fan you're probably saying to yourself
oh great here we go again milwaukee you know
taking advantage of their opportunities making stuff out
of nothing that Cooper Pratt home run
uh i don't know but somehow we bent but didn't break
so yeah again to your to your point we
went from low to high which is that's the way i'd want
to go instead of the other way around
that is fair brother well nice
to meet you man best of luck to your team as well
and uh hopefully we'll be having a different conversation
in our favor next time that's right
We got this, Phil.
Hopefully we can bring it back to Milwaukee.
I'm not saying we're going to win this thing.
Who knows?
But if we could just make a series out
of this thing, maybe send it back to you guys.
And I'm sure you wouldn't complain either.
If you were to win, you would like to do it on your home field.
Fair.
Exactly, Walter.
We love the idea.
So why don't you just throw this game,
and let's meet you in Milwaukee for games six and seven.
We will not be doing that.
But, Walter, thank you
so much for joining us once again here on Wake Up.
That's awesome.
He was awesome to talk with.
All right, that brings us to our Fox 6 Instapoll.
So we asked, do you think we'll see
the Brewers in a Game 6 at AmFam Field?
Walter said yes.
Walter said yes.
I wonder if he has voted.
You can still answer, though, by using the QR code on the screen
or go to fox6now.com slash poll.
Here are the answers thus far.
Yeah, no, folks want to see Brewers win it in Game 5 tonight,
which is kind of where I stand.
Yeah.
But we'll be checking in throughout the broadcast with your responses.
I just feel, like, cool as a cucumber.
You know, like, if we win tonight, yes.
If we don't, we've still got two more chances.
We just got to get one win.
They have to get three wins.
So keep that in mind.
The pressure is on them, but I would like the pressure to stay on them.
If it starts to rise and they get back home,
that's not going to be a good thing.
No.
Let's just get her done tonight, and we'll plan the party.
That's what I think, yes.
It would be wonderful.
It's a beautiful day today,
and I know you guys are relatively new to the area,
so you won't remember this, but it was only three years ago
that this was our Halloween, gotta love Patrick's just standing there
in the snow um but yeah
2023 we had three inches worth of snow on Halloween, I bring it up
because i'm going to
look all the way to Halloween for 2026 coming up
in a few minutes right now it's foggy it's a
little bit of a spooky Halloween kind of forecast off the top
but the fog is starting to lift
already it's reduced visibility
but not really nearly as bad as it was see a little bit of it
out there at the North Lake camera.
Not much in the upper levels. A few showers way off to our
west, as you can see there in southeastern Minnesota,
but that's as close as that gets for
now. Later tonight, that changes up, though.
We're behind the warm front at the moment. Then the cold
front comes sliding through here late evening and overnight,
and that'll push some rain, maybe the
occasional rumble through our area overnight.
Let's go look at the timing hour by hour with
Sky Vision Plus will show you tomorrow's weather today.
Today's weather, wow, just spectacular.
All this sunshine, steady south breeze, a good 10,
15 degrees warmer than average right across the viewing area.
Then it gets a little cloudier, and by 10 o'clock or so,
showers will start to move their way through.
That should push most of this past game time,
past watch party time if your watch party's outside.
If we go into extra innings, though, you might need some rain gear,
And then that'll continue on into maybe 6,
7 o'clock Thursday before that clears up as well.
And this isn't going to be a major soaker even
if you forget to bring your rain poncho
and we go late with this thing for game five, talking about a tenth,
maybe two-tenths of an inch at the very most.
Now, from the Fox weather model,
you again see those showers, maybe a rumble of thunder,
mostly around midnight and then shortly after.
And then a long, dry stretch here
as we go through Thursday into the first half of Friday.
But by later Friday, the clouds return, as do a few showers.
A few more showers through Friday night into Halloween day.
The morning hours might have a few spotty showers.
Might see a few more showers pop up
as we go into the trick-or-treat hours.
Should be pretty widely scattered.
Again, not a major soaker here,
but you may have to make some plans or at least keep the app handy
so you can kind of pick your spot, your little window of dry conditions
for the trick-or-treaters as they head out on Halloween.
Now temperatures today, nothing scary about that.
We should be in the low 70s.
We'll drop back down to near 60 overnight tonight.
Well above average yet again.
This October has been top 10 already for warmth for the month.
So our Fox six day planner looking at 72 today and sunny 70 tomorrow.
Then we get to low 60s Friday and Saturday.
Don't forget to fall back Saturday night, Sunday morning,
66 Saturday, 66 or rather 66 Sunday, 66 Monday.
Well, for the Brewers, the World Series trophy is,
of course, the big prize.
But at fourth base, the real prize might
be what's coming out of the kitchen.
Brian Krampf is in West Milwaukee getting a taste of the food
that keeps fans coming back before, during, and after the game.
Oh, you nailed it, too, there, Haley.
Before, during, and after, I'd take that burger down.
I mean, CJ, my goodness.
That thing is primed and ready for someone to eat for lunch.
That was your son cooking a little bit earlier on.
Is he the chef back there?
Are you the chef?
Who's the chef here?
A little bit of both.
So usually in the daytime, it's me here getting everything set up,
getting that deli case set up,
cooking for pretty much every lunch shift,
and then he comes in for the second shift.
I'll tell you, you guys do some great work,
and if you're just passing Fourth Base and you've never been here,
you might think it's a bar.
Well, yeah, there's clearly a bar here,
but it's Fourth Base Restaurant in the actual name,
and the wings look pretty tasty as well.
I guess you don't have a menu per se, but you have a board over there.
does it change daily or is it pretty much standard?
It'll change depending on what's
available. So a lot of the board,
the chalkboard is kind of to give customers ideas on what you
can do. But then the real concept is being able
to look in that deli case and say, I want this
and I want that and want this.
But my original menu on the wall has the steak sandwich, has the
burger, has a fish fry, has a hot ham and cheese, has a pork sandwich.
So those were kind of all
of staples that you could usually pretty much
get every day no matter what.
You've got scallops.
You've got fish
several different kinds as well.
From chicken to burgers to
shaved beef sandwiches and more.
You start serving though at what time?
Is it 10.30?
It'll be 10.30.
Last night, we have footage
from you guys last night
for that Brewers game. I know there were tons of people in here
and it was a great time and everything like that.
I also saw people with food at the bar
at the time the Brewers game was going on.
So what time do you stop serving?
So on a day like that, you kind of just read the room.
On the average night, it's usually about 9 o'clock.
But he was back there cooking until probably about 10, 10.30
because people are still drinking, they're still eating,
and they want to keep it going.
They've got to soak it up, without a doubt here.
You had one guy come back and say hi to you.
You're not open yet.
There are people that are down the
street that are coming here regularly.
There are people that are coming here from out of state
because they want to see fourth base.
They want to find out for themselves what it's all about.
What do you say to those people that are coming
in from out of town for the first time?
Oh, you know, it's definitely one
of the most unique experiences you're going to have.
We're going to have, we've always got the music playing.
We've got the TVs on.
You're going to see the movie played in the background.
Then to be able to look at that deli case in a place like this and kind
of order what you want as opposed to being limited to the menu.
I love it whether it's Major League playing on the back
or Sandlot playing on the back.
The Brewers playing on the TV.
You guys do have everything going.
It's like all engines are firing,
and we've got Game 5 coming up later on tonight.
Give me that prediction, CJ.
Where are we going?
I like it.
I want to see the bats come out more.
I'd like to see a 6-2 win.
A 6-2 win.
All right, there's CJ.
They're open at 1030 tonight.
They'll be here before, during,
and after with great drinks, great food,
and, of course, that nostalgia.
They're known for nearly 50 years here in West Milwaukee.
They'll celebrate that next year,
and hopefully they'll be celebrating
a Brewers World Series win tonight.
More Fox 6 Wake Up coming back after the break.
Thanks, CJ.
