I wanted to wait on that. He certainly deserves that.
You deserve all of this. You know that. You're an organization guy.
The Milwaukee Brewers are the champions of the world.
That's right, Brandon. How does that sit on you?
pretty cool there's nothing like it it's uh it's special it really is
nobody can take this away from us it's very hard
to do and to get it done has meant
everything to these fans I mean they're not gonna leave
and I think that's pretty cool and
yeah it means a lot to me just being here
this has been my home for my whole career
and pretty dang special.
You see these people still here.
You hear these people still here on the road.
You've seen the clips of the watch parties back in Milwaukee.
Does it astound you,
or is it what you expect because that's Brewer baseball?
It doesn't at all.
We know what kind of fans we have in Milwaukee.
I mean, this is like out of a movie, man.
You see this every year.
We've been on some bad sides of this.
We've never made it to the World Series until
this year, and we've won it in our first try.
But we've been on the losing end to a lot of teams
that have gone on to win the World Series over the years.
And you see this stuff on TV, and now you're a part of it.
And it's pretty surreal.
It's pretty crazy.
And you personally really worked to be here.
Yeah.
How much pride do you take in the journey, in the battle back?
I'm just crazy enough.
I'm just crazy enough.
And I was just crazy enough to keep throwing after, you know,
I was told multiple times I probably needed surgery again.
didn't end up getting it
things worked out for me
started throwing again
didn't know why
with no plan
and then this came about
and I got the chance
to pitch in the World Series
and record an inning
and it meant the world to me
I know you didn't do it alone
your family support
I know you're a faithful guy
the fans support
is it all part of
the organizational belief?
Yeah
I told Mark on that stage
right before we got the trophy
thanks for sticking with me
because, you know, I could have easily been done two or three years ago
with the surgery I had, and he stuck with me
and didn't let me go anywhere else, and that means the world.
You're going serious.
That's right.
That's right.
That's right.
Thank you.
That's awesome.
I mean, that's a kid who was born in Milwaukee right there.
Brandon Woodruff has spent his whole career here.
He's battled through injuries here.
He loves his team.
When we go to the community events, Brandon Woodruff is always there.
They talked about it was such a decision, what would happen.
and he did not know what the future
would hold for himself as an athlete
going through those injuries and just it worked out.
You know, there's just
so many stories that resonate with Milwaukeeans and with fans.
Let's listen to this Tim interview.
What does this night mean to your family?
Well, you know, it's such a group effort.
It's the players, it's the staff, it's the families, it's everybody.
They have to put everything into it.
So just to see it all pay off really means a lot.
You know, I can see the joy on so many faces, but not everybody had
the same battle your family did to get back to this stage.
How much pride do you take?
How much reward is there tonight because of that?
I think it just proves that, you know,
the never quit in my husband is really there.
And so he never took no for an answer.
He never stopped working hard, and it paid off tonight.
And you guys did it in Milwaukee.
I know you've done a lot of things in the community,
stuff that doesn't always get attention.
Does that make this feel any more special because it's Milwaukee?
Absolutely.
It's home for us.
I've had two of our three kids in Milwaukee,
so it is our second home, and we love it there.
We love the people, and it means the
world to us to be able to do it there.
Thanks for taking the time.
All right.
