I'm Chief Meteorologist Brian McMillan. Yesterday we hit 54 degrees.
We have kind of a cooler end to October after a very mild month.
And this is the first time we've had four days in a row
of measurable rainfall since May. And it's really helped us out even
though we're running way behind for our average total for October.
This is the fifth driest October up to this point in the month.
And that those records go back to 1945. Here's a look at your future
we're going to continue to see scattered on and off showers today.
Most of the heaviest rain will
be over the Olympic Peninsula,
but we'll see some light showers around the Puget Sound area through
today and then again tomorrow,
and there will be some light snow up in the mountains as well.
Here is that snow level forecast.
It'll be bouncing between about 3,500 and 4,500 feet
over the next couple of days,
and then we dry out heading into the weekend and into next week.
So, not much snow is expected, about an inch, trace to an inch.
So, there will be times up there where it might
be a little bit slippery, but you should be okay.
Low to mid-50s for highs today on your Thursday.
It's going to be a bit cool.
It'll be showery at times, but there'll be a lot of dry time as well.
Down in Portland, Salem, and Eugene,
you're looking at cloudy skies down there.
And after we get through some morning showers,
it'll be looking a little bit better this afternoon.
Sunset tonight is at 5:56.
Four o'clock hours sunsets start on Sunday.
All right, your seven-day forecast.
Back into the mid-50s for Friday,
and then Saturday and Sunday we dry out.
Halloween night looks dry for trick-or-treating,
and Monday night football is also looking dry.
Have a great day.
