Teenager wounded in Bronx shooting, NYPD investigating

Live View 3, this is up in the Bronx. This is the scene of a shooting that we just got down to. Dave is up there now, our photographer, and he's just arrived at the scene. This looks like it's as close as he's able to get. So he's on the ground now. You can see the crime scene tape that's up. The investigators working hard to gather information as they can. The shooting in the Bronx, 9.30 this morning, just a few minutes before, about 9:24, there was a shooting. Now, sometimes when these shootings come into us, it's just a flash across the BCC, the wire, so to speak. And it just said, boy shot. So we didn't know exactly what that meant, you know, the age of the child. So we rushed up there. No matter how old they are, certainly any shooting, you don't want to see that here in the city. But then we got word once we gathered some information, it was a 15-year-old boy, between the ages of 15 and 17 years old, who was shot. uh it it seems like at that hour there's a strong possibility that this boy was either headed to school or was doing something related to school maybe he was uh leaving or something along those lines um so the question is was he near his home was he going somewhere else uh this is fulton avenue east 171st street uh police responding to that 911 call did the shooter and this person know each other? Was this a random act of violence? Those are all the questions that we are still working to have answered this morning, but you can see they're having a little meet up here where they're obviously trying to figure out what the next steps are going to be in that investigation.
