Happy Thursday everyone. I'm meteorologist Claire Anderson
in the Fox 13 Weather Center. Today was
quintessential fall afternoon.
Cool showers, rain out there, snow up in the Cascades, very light
snow. Temperatures will stay cool heading
into our Friday along with more scattered showers in
the forecast. But the good news for trick-or-treaters on Saturday,
it'll be dry and cool. I'm excited
about that. We will see some nice sun breaks.
Temperatures of course in the 50s and we do see
We're heading into Sunday with a mix of sun
and clouds to start the morning with clearer skies into the afternoon.
So looking really nice for this weekend.
Temperatures today in the mid-50s for SeaTac in Seattle,
low 50s for Everett and Bellingham, upper 40s out along the coast.
47 in Wenatchee, very close to average temperatures this afternoon.
Now, I do want to talk about October
because we've only got a few more days left.
And look at how warm.
All the red there is above average temperatures.
We started off pretty warm, about 3 degrees.
Breeze.
Above average highs for this month,
but we're going to end it a little cooler.
It's also been very dry.
We were talking about this a few weeks ago.
We've got just over half an inch of rain,
and we typically see almost four inches during the month of October.
So this is so far the fifth driest,
a few more days, but going back to 1945.
Looking at our Doppler radar today, upper level low offshore,
bringing in more scattered showers,
cooler temperatures, and even some rumbles
of thunder out along the coast.
Can't rule that out.
Once the sun goes down, of course,
we see the showers and thunderstorms decreasing,
but some active heavier pockets into this evening and overnight hours.
Futurecast does show scattered showers tonight into tomorrow morning.
We'll see steadier rain to start the day,
some snow up into those higher elevations, wet for lunchtime.
We actually get some nice sun breaks.
Look at 5 o'clock, Seattle down through Tacoma.
A few scattered showers still out along
the coast with passing showers into the evening,
Showing our Saturday morning.
Cloudier, foggier conditions to start the day with more sun breaks
into the afternoon with partly sunny conditions.
Looking at our snow level forecast,
it does stay on the lower side, especially through Friday.
And then we do see light snow up in maybe our higher passes
like Stevens Pass, especially through tomorrow afternoon.
A little breezy through tonight through Goldmar,
North Bend, those easterly winds picking up.
Tonight, temperatures low 30s. Olympia, Centralia and Shelton.
And so on the cooler side for the South Sound, 40 degrees.
degrees for Everett as well as Seattle.
Tomorrow, your outdoor report, dog walking, wet paws in the morning,
some nicer sunbreaks in the afternoon.
If you're heading out to Friday night football,
bundle up, showers at times.
It will be a cooler evening.
Low 50s tomorrow.
This will be our coolest day of the extended forecast.
Upper 40s for Everett 52.
Seattle-Tacoma Olympia 52 with Fern Wenatchee.
Shower chances possible.
Halloween forecast, partly sunny skies,
nice conditions there for trick-or-treaters.
Looking at your extended mid-50s, and we fall back Sunday morning.
