Jake Paul Announces Fight on Christmas Eve | TMZ Sports

Welcome back to TMZ Sports. Jake Paul is back. We now know when the problem child is getting back in the boxing ring. December 24th, Christmas Eve in Dubai. Now, who is the opponent? That much we do not yet know. But the bottom line is that Jake Paul last fought what will be more than a year ago against... Heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, when he got his face broken, literally, and a lot of people questioned whether or not Jake would ever fight again. Now we have our answer, and it is a resounding yes. Yeah, we all must have been on the naughty list this year, because in our stockings, we get another Jake Paul fight. Like, who actually really wants this? I will. I have to disagree with you, Alex. Love Jake Paul. Big fan of him. Most watched fight of all time. But, hey, we do each their own, and it's not a unique opinion. I also got to agree with you, Babcock. I'm very excited for this fight. I think on Christmas Eve, anything boxing-related, anything fight-related, whether it was UFC, Jake Paul boxing, kicking somebody's butt or getting his butt kicked, I'm down for either one, so I think it's going to be a fun time. It appeals to different audiences, depending on where you're feeling about, Jake. It depends on what college bowl games are going on, who's playing who, and who Jake Paul fights. If it's going to be somebody I don't care about, catch me watching a college football game instead on Christmas Eve. Yeah, that's it. The day surprised me. So tell me what you guys think of these opponents. Now, he gave a pretty lengthy list of opponents, but I think these are probably the three biggest and most compelling fights. Canelo Alvarez, one of the greatest boxers of all time, period. Francis Ngannou, a monster of a human being. I mean, look at that. Clearly is not, I don't want to say learned his lesson. It's got a negative connotation, but he was not scared off. That man's got a muscle on top of his muscle. Look at that. He is such a giant of a guy. Why? Francis is like 6'5", but he's so thick. Don't pick him, Jake. And last but not least, Conor McGregor. That's easy. He's old and he's fragile. He's broken. He's ran down. I'd pick him. You want Conor? You think Conor? Out of the three that you just named, I would pick him just to make sure that I keep my win streak. I would feel very confident going in that I could probably beat an old Conor McGregor. I think that's the only guy that he has a chance to be favored against of the three we just named. What do you think, Alex? I mean, out of those three, I think McGregor's easily. Jake has a lot of problem when it comes to fighting. Boxers, credentialed boxers, and especially those with history. Conor McGregor has neither, especially recently. It'll be interesting to see what sort of drugging, testing they're going to do, especially because Conor has been dealing with that leg, and he hasn't really played or fought in over a year now. Here's where I'll tell you this. This is not going to be Conor McGregor, because Conor McGregor is, one, he's got a broken leg, but he's also under contract with the UFC. Dana White, Jake Paul are not buddies. It's not going to be Conor McGregor. Might be Conor down the road. Not going to be Conor this time. You know who I wouldn't mind seeing him fight? Who? There's two people I actually wouldn't mind seeing him fight. Who? The two people he's lost to. Tommy Fury and Anthony Joshua. Anthony Joshua? Tommy Fury gave Jake his first loss. I would love to, and Tommy, I'd just like to see him anyways because he's just so handsome. Oh, he's so attractive. Shout out to Love Island because he met his wife and girlfriend. All the way back to Love Island. Shout out to Molly May and Tommy Fury. But yeah, Tommy gave Jake his first loss, and I would love to see if Jake were to fight him again, if he would be able to kind of get his look back. Who are the Love Island people that we're at?
