President Trump canceling some final campaign stops over
the weekend as a number of midterm
races around the country are tightening up.
Robert Moses, what's going on?
Yeah, Rosanna, while President Donald Trump predicts
that Republicans will have a, quote,
strong Tuesday night poll show,
tight races in traditionally red states, making it possible
Democrats could retake both the House and Senate
and make life difficult for the president.
In his last two years in office,
the Republican National Committee announced last night that President
Trump canceled a rally in Kansas tomorrow and one in Iowa Sunday.
The RNC said the president will be able
to reach more voters by instead holding tele rallies
in nearly 20 states with maybe more to be announced.
Kansas and Iowa, by the way, are two
of the states where Republicans are in danger.
Texas, Ohio and Alaska are others.
So, too, is South Carolina,
where the president traveled yesterday to rally with Darlene Graham,
the sister of the late Republican Senator Lindsey Graham.
She is running to fill his seat.
South Carolina has not sent a Democrat
to the Senate in nearly 30 years,
but polls show it could happen this year.
After the rally, President Trump lashed out at a reporter who asked him
if he canceled his trip to Kansas tomorrow because of health concerns.
He comes to me, sir, you're
not going to go to Kansas.
I'm not going to Kansas because he's doing very well.
I'm going to do a telethon rally.
Tomorrow I'm doing Florida.
He said, what's the reason?
After doing, what, 28?
He says, what's the reason for this,
sir, that you're not going to Kansas?
You know what the reason is?
I don't feel I have to go to Kansas.
I'm going to Florida tomorrow, and I'll do if something else comes up.
But he said, you're not going to Kansas, sir.
Are you feeling well?
You've been following me for two weeks.
I feel perfect.
You are disgusting.
Put yourself in shape.
You look like hell.
At a rally Monday in Mississippi, though,
the president did acknowledge sounding a bit hoarse.
God didn't make your vocal cords to do a rally every day,
but when you love the people, it's fine.
Now, as you heard him say, President Trump is scheduled
to hold a rally today in Daytona Beach, Florida.
After that, we don't know if he will be holding any more
in-person rallies before Election Day.
Rosanna.
All right. Thank you so much, Robert.
