All right, and we are not too far
from the World Series Parade starting.
The crowds are really building fast around the city.
And our Andrew Amuzu joins us live again from downtown Milwaukee.
Andrew, you are surrounded by the fans.
There's a whole lot of fans right over here.
There's a lot of energy.
And now we got a whole group of gold and blue.
Summerfest, of course, the hub of the rally.
You have so many people here, so much excitement,
so many super fans, so many stories, of course,
here joined by Mr. Chris.
Chris, you are one of the longtime Brewers fans here.
I know that this moment truly means a lot to you and your family.
It sure does.
When I was nine years old, we played in the World Series,
and it broke my heart and we lost.
You know, and being here, there's no way I'd miss being here.
I'm just a die-hard fan.
My family's a big Brewer family.
And I'm just so happy to be here.
Yeah.
As soon as you walked up to me, you're like, oh,
my gosh, I cannot imagine, you know, not being here.
You said those same things.
Take me back to 1982, that team.
Why was it so special to you?
Yeah, I was a kid.
I was 9 years old.
I'm a baseball player.
And, you know, Gorman Thomas, Cecil Cooper,
Robin Yelp, Ben Ogilvie, all those guys.
That was just like our heart, like my family's a big baseball family,
and it was just the best thing ever.
And my baseball coach was friends with Robin Young,
and they passed around a baseball in the dugout
during the World Series, and they signed it,
and they raffled it off, and I still have it to this day.
So that's like my prized possession.
Wow.
I mean, that's a tradition that you'll be able to keep,
possess, hold on to, and even pass down as well.
But you also told me earlier about how much
this moment not only means to you, but so many others.
You also wanted to highlight a special someone as well.
Yeah.
It's just real, you know, it's close to my heart.
And my friend Amy here, my friend Amy.
She was hitting a hit and run early this year in Milwaukee,
and she was a diehard Brewer fan.
Her and I went to opening day together and, you know, I'm here.
I'm bringing her with me.
And it means a lot to me and her family.
It really does.
And I know that not only her story will live on,
your story will live on
in this entire city, this team.
This is really what it's all about.
Thank you very much.
And we're the world champs, everybody.
Champions, you're seeing the energy here at Summerfest.
We'll send it back over to you guys.
Should we keep the chant going, Derek?
I know.
