Coach, I've got to ask you about your Jets there.
And, boy, Aaron Glenn, man, he's got really a tough one going on there.
Your opinions on what the future is in store for.
Look at this here.
The Jets have been outscored 107-6
in the final two minutes of the first half
during Aaron Glenn's tenure as head coach.
What do you tell your locker room coach?
And, man, just really a tough job right now in New York.
It is. And I think, you know, the thing
that Aaron has going for him is the players respect him.
They want to play for him.
They want to win for this guy. They really do.
I just think that, you know, you don't make light of it.
You just say, hey, look, and you tell the players,
hey, look, when we when we score our first one,
this is what I'm going to do on the sideline.
Right. So you almost kind of put it on you.
Like, you guys want to see what I'm going to do.
You score. You score early. Watch what I'm going to do.
Right. So you got to do something.
You got to keep it light. These players know, hey, man,
we can't keep doing we can't keep going down this road
because it's almost like the first half football games
are not even playing. Right.
It's like, OK, you guys can score whatever you want.
We'll know we're going to be.
And then we're going to try to catch you work that way.
Coach, how do you think Geno's played this year?
Okay, you know, but he can't.
And the thing, he's not turning the ball over a lot,
which is good, because they have a pretty
good defense, to be quite honest.
They just can't score points. You know, in this league,
you got to score. You just do.
I mean, the league's set up for you to score. I mean,
and you got to score points. You still got to play defense.
I get all that, but it's easier
to play defense when you can score points,
because what happens is you put the quarterback
in a situation where I got to go back,
because you score, you got to throw it. I got to throw.
Bro, when you don't score,
Your competitor knows all we got to do is just,
you know, methodically beat these guys
because they don't, there's no threat. There's no threat on offense.
Coach, the job that Frank Reich has done
this year as the offensive coordinator,
what do you think the job that he has done?
Pretty tough situation also there
in New York for him. What do you think of the job he's done?
I think he's holding it together.
I do.
I just think Geno has a cap on him of where the ceiling is.
And he's just going to make sure that Geno doesn't lose the game.
I mean, because if he starts throwing interceptions,
Coach, he could really get bad.
Like, I mean, real bad.
And we know that.
