Hi guys, welcome to Alice's Yelping Food.
Today I'm in my new fabulous kitchen.
As you can see, this is literally my dream kitchen.
And I've done everything to make it look perfect.
And so you'll also enjoy watching my new videos.
And today I'll show you a really easy video tutorial
on how to make snowman macarons.
And we're gonna make them look so cute.
And then you can use them for any kind of cakes,
cupcakes, or just eat them just on their own.
Okay, so the first thing we're gonna do,
we're gonna sift our flour and almond powder together.
All the ingredients will be listed below in my description box.
Sift everything together, you just give it a really good mix,
making sure all the ingredients are incorporated.
Next thing we're going to do is whip our egg whites
and I'm going to put them in a food processor.
And I've got aged eggs, which means I've just left them out
of the fridge for a couple of hours.
But if you don't have time, you can always just put them
into warm water and leave them for about 10 minutes.
So my egg whites have been whipping for about two minutes
and once they start to form peaks like that, as you can see,
we're just going to put it back on and add sugar really slowly.
Egg whites are all nicely steamed. You can see the mixture
is very stiff and if you put it over your head it doesn't fall,
which means the mixture is ready. That's how you test it.
All we're going to do now
is incorporate dry mixture with our wet mixture.
So I'm going to put
it all in here.
You have about 40 to 50 turns until all the ingredients
are incorporated and you're looking for like a droopy mixture
but something similar to a lava cake
but not really wet if that makes sense.
You want the mixture to kind of fall back really slowly.
I'll show you once I've finished mixing.
So as you can see all the ingredients are incorporated
and when I lift my spatula
you're looking for that kind of consistency,
the mixture is kind of oozing back down but not too
runny and not too dry. So I'll give it a few more mixes
and then it's ready to put into a piping bag.
So we've got a large piping bag with a plain nozzle of 1.5cm
and what we're going to do,
I like to use a glass
and it's just an easier way to pipe the bag without spilling.
So you put the piping thing inside
and you're just going to wrap that around the glass.
Now just put all our mixture inside.
I'm using the back of my baking tray, that way the heat is distributed
evenly around the macaroons, so they will be all the same.
And I've lined it with some parchment paper.
So all we're going to do, we're just going to pipe a small head,
and then we're going to do a bigger one just underneath.
Try making it roughly the same sizes, but if you're very patient,
I'm not, you can draw the macaroons out into the snowman shapes
and then it'd be a bit more perfect.
So once they all pipe down, we're just going to bang the tray a couple
of times from both sides to make sure there are no air bubbles left.
And we're going to leave it for about half an hour
to 60 minutes until nice skin forms on top of the macaroons.
The macaroons, that way you prevent them cracking.
I like to decorate mine with these silver edible balls
and it just looks so pretty.
I'm just going
to have to be very
careful.
The macaroons are ready. I'm going to put them
in the oven for about 12 to 15 minutes at 150 degrees.
I like to open the door about twice during the cooking process.
That lets some air out and that prevents the crack.
The macaroons are done
and they've just been resting for about 10 minutes.
Now they're ready to be taken off.
So, our macaroons are done. I've got my chocolate ganache here.
That's what I'm going to be filling them in.
You can watch a video recipe on how to make this on my channel.
I will include the link above and also in the description box.
So, all we're going
to do is take one shell, pipe some
ganache inside, just like that.
And then I'm going to take the second half, press them together.
And now you have this beautiful snowman macaroon filled
with chocolate ganache.
I'm just going to do the rest.
