Just trying out new hardware for going live
Hey guys, this is my first live stream
that I've ever tried.
I've got some new equipment that I'm trying out right here,
and I do not know if it will
work.
If anybody logs, let me know if you can hear me,
and I'll go from there.
Oh, I'm glad you can hear me.
I'm actually, I bought a whole new setup here
so I can start doing live stuff and maybe
taking some questions.
So really, this is just a test to see if this setup is going to work.
computer here and I'm using GoPro as my webcam.
So it's a little choppy internet bandwidth problem.
I'm breaking up a bit. Okay. I see.
That's something I can work on.
I hear you clearly
and no lag. All right. Thanks guys.
I appreciate the feedback. There's something I can do on that
can actually speed up my internet.
Sounds good in Maine.
Y'all let me know if this is a little
bit choppy or if the video is kind of breaking up or something.
That's something that I need
I need to know and I can work on.
Yeah, finally, I'm doing a live stream. This is really just a test
so I can start doing something a little more serious in the future.
Today happens to be I was able to get all this set up. Low bitrate.
I see what you're saying. There's some stuff I can work
on with that actually increasing the speed of my internet here.
I've got really high speed at the house, but not right here.
Well, thank you, Christian. I appreciate that. This is my office.
And, um,
Actually, I don't spend a whole lot of time here.
I'm usually out on the road.
Thank you, Joseph.
Good.
I'm glad.
Thank you, Brian.
I'm glad to see the audio and video is good.
So there's a little bit of an echo.
I see.
That helps.
I actually have a headphone
and microphone that may be able to help.
Ammeter, what would I recommend?
Stick with the big name brands.
I've tested some cheap ones like Kai Wheat.
You better stick to the.
Fieldpiece or Fluke,
although I think Fluke is just a little bit overpriced.
No, I don't have anything to keep it by myself,
but it sounds okay to him.
California.
Man, guys coming in from everywhere.
I'm happy to see that this actually works.
I have not ever tried a live stream in the future.
I plan to do more.
Oh, and Joseph Mann from Augusta.
You know, I used to live in Augusta.
I was raised in North.
Reverb bouncing off the wall, ceiling, possibly floor.
Okay, I understand. Hola. It's good to see you.
Man, y'all are coming in.
You want to send your son down here to work with me?
I don't, I don't, I'm content working by myself,
working with somebody.
I guess I could, but probably not going to do that.
I keep it very local,
like usually within miles of my shop.
When it's slower, I will go further, maybe 45 miles.
But because I'm a small business, I do keep it very local.
If I take an out-of-town job,
it don't make a whole lot of sense doing two hours driving
when I could spend two hours making money.
Lithuania.
Well, hell.
Well, guys, I really appreciate
y'all logging on and letting me know this works.
I'm going to work on a couple of other things,
see if I can improve the sound quality and
improve the internet speed, which is something very easy for me to do.
I'm actually doing this through Wi-Fi.
I may try to plug in a cord and increase the speed on that.
Well, guys, I'm going to go ahead and log off.
This was really just a test.
I will do some more live streams in the future.
And I've got to figure out how to do this with other people
because I told John I would do one.
And I intend to do that with him.
So thanks for logging on, guys.
And thanks for letting me know this works.
I will.
Do more of these in the future,
probably some more like after work or something
so we can actually take questions and whatnot.
Once again, thanks again guys and I appreciate you logging on.
There will be more to come.
