How to make an Oreo cake at home. Whether you think it's cute or creepy, this Oreo Spiders Cake would be fantastic for Halloween. You can make this and it's really easy! This is a perfect cake to serve for a Halloween Party, since its not hard to make, it will easily serve 12-14 people and it looks adorable! If you don’t want to make it for halloween, then you can decorate your cake with just crushed Oreos. You will need Mini Oreo Cookies and fondant to make these spiders. I piped the frosting eyes on my Oreos, but you could also use candy eyes. Then I arranged them on the cake and made the legs with chocolate ganache. I used a ziploc bag with the corner snipped off.
Hi guys, welcome to my channel Alice Yummy Food
and on today's episode I'm going to
show you how to make a chocolate Oreo cake.
It's absolutely delicious. Now that some of
you know that I upload videos every Sunday around 11
o'clock in the morning and that's
GMT time so always make sure you check out the latest videos.
And today it's a Halloween
theme so I'm going to be making chocolate spiders around
the cake but again if you're
not making it for Halloween just leave it
as it is and it's just so good.
Can't wait to get started.
Okay, so the first thing we're going
to do is get a 10 inch pan like this.
And I've lined it with some parchment paper
so it doesn't stick to our cake.
And I'm going to do two bakes.
We get a large bowl and we place all our flour,
baking soda and powder and salt into here.
And then I'm going to add my cocoa powder.
Basically all the dry ingredients.
You can see I've got two different colours because I've run out of one.
And then put all the sugar
and I'm going to give it a really good mix now.
Now the dry ingredients are ready.
I have melted my dark chocolate with butter
and we're going to put this in here and I'm going to add our buttermilk
and two eggs and we're just going to whisk that.
You can see it's nice and beautiful. Now we're going to set this aside
and we're going to pour, you need to make sure the water is very hot
and we're going to add it very slowly into the mixture.
Now that our mix is done, we're just going
to set it aside, and I've got a normal bag.
I'm going to put some Oreos in here. I like to keep all the bits,
and I'm going to crush them into small bits.
Again, you can use a food processor, it'll be a bit faster.
Our cake goes into the
oven at 350 Fahrenheit
and 180 degrees
for about 45 to 40 minutes.
While my cake is baking, I'm going to make my Oreo filling, and in a
large bowl, we're going to place our double cream with vanilla extract.
And I've put it all in there now,
and we're just going to whip it until it's nice and fluffy.
So I've set my double cream aside
and now we're going to be whipping our cream cheese.
So just place that right into the bowl and we're
going to add all the icing sugar, cookies
and crush them really finely
so we're going to make that into our filling.
And then also we're going
to add all the double cream.
So now this is just going to go
into the fridge until our cake is baked.
My cake has been cooling down for 15 to 20 minutes
and I've already put it on the presentation plate.
You can see here my frosting just came out of the fridge
and it's nice and cold so it's ready to be frosted.
Our giant oreo cake is going into the fridge for about half an hour.
We want it to completely set before we're going
to pour our hot chocolate ganache all over it.
Okay, so my cake is out of the fridge
and here I've got my chocolate ganache.
To watch a video how to make this, please see the link above.
And all we're going to do now is just cut the top end bit here.
And I'm going to go around the cake and we just want it to be dripping.
To make it really, really pretty.
Now we're going to put this in the
fridge to set for five minutes.
To make little spiders, we've got our cookie here and I halved them.
I've got white fondant icing and I'm just gonna draw big eyes.
For the eyeballs,
I'm using
chocolate ganache.
Just like that.
Then we place our spiders around
and I'm gonna show you how I'm gonna do legs.
So take the same chocolate ganache
and all we're gonna do is just draw three legs.
And
that's
it,
last
leg.
How cute is that?
Okay, how beautiful does this look? I'm going to slice into the cake
and I'm going to get right into the spiders.
So it goes right very nice and smooth.
And this is how you make
chocolate ganache cake
with Oreo filling.
It's amazing. Everyone's going to love it
for Halloween if you put spiders on top.
And it just looks so cute and I just can't wait to dig in.
I've been waiting for so long.
Oh, the cake is really moist,
just goes through. Wow.
You can really taste the Oreos.
The cream cheese filling
and then you get bits of cookies inside the chocolate dough.
This is really, really good.
Guys, hope you try this recipe
and all your guests if you're making this to the party will
love this cake.
Thanks again for watching.
Don't forget I upload new videos every Sunday.
Bye!
