Hey guys, welcome to my channel Alice Yummy Food.
Today I'll show you a very easy video tutorial
on how to make Christmas Madeira Loaf Tin Cake.
And guys, I upload new videos every Sunday,
so please tune in, subscribe, like and share my videos.
Really, really appreciate it. Let's get going!
What we're going to do is cream our butter with sugar.
Add eggs once at a time and
mix it and then I'll just
keep adding them in there.
Now we're just going to add our lemon zest
and I use lemon zest to just give it extra
sort of zing in the cake but you don't have to use that.
Now we're going to add our almond powder,
give that a really good mix and add our flour
afterwards.
And my mixture is done but it looks a bit dry
so I'm going to add a bit of milk and
just give it a good mix.
The next thing I've done is prepared my baking tray
with some parchment paper and baking
fat around, just to make sure the cake doesn't stick to the actual pan.
And the first thing we're going to do is divide
the mixture into half and I'm going to put
some green food colouring like this,
you can use any green food colouring you have and
it's going to be for our Christmas tree.
And we're going to bake that first
for 50 minutes up to an hour at 170 degrees.
Okay,
all
done.
Now we're just going to transfer it into a cake tin.
Okay, once it's nice and done,
just pop it into the oven until the screw comes out clean.
Okay, so my cake is all cooked.
It looks very green, very festive.
It's been cooling down for good 10 minutes and now I'm going
to cut thick slices so I can cut little Christmas trees out of it.
Okay, once it's all done,
I'm just going to take each slice,
press right into it.
I'm going to have a lot of scraps, but again, you can just eat that.
And there's
our little cute Christmas tree.
Okay, so the next thing we're going to do,
we're just going to stack Christmas trees
once one begins to another, just like that,
right in the middle, on that beautiful slice.
Next thing we're going to do is take the other half
of the mixture and put into the cake
very gently to make sure you cover the top
of the Christmas tree and the sides.
Once you fill the mixture,
take a spoon and make sure it's wet on the back and just gently
press it inside, making sure there's no air bubbles
and it's just all nice and smooth.
Now that's all done, I can't wait to see the end result,
feeling so Christmassy.
Now I'm going to put this in the oven
for about 40-50 minutes until the toothpick comes out clean.
The cake has been cooling down for a good 15 minutes and I'm
so excited, I really can't wait to see what it looks like inside.
So with a sharp knife, I'm just going to cut off the first slice.
And there we have it, a little Christmas
tree inside our Madeira cake. Beautiful.
