Good year, all. This is Jared Piepenberg on this Halloween morning.
Waking up to some wet roads out there.
We've had some showers on the radar
and some showers are passing by overnight.
And now heading into the weekend today,
there's just going to be that chance of some showers out there.
And then tomorrow looks really mild
for Sunday with maybe some spotty sunshine.
Overcast sky kind of expected might have that gloomy look,
but yeah, there's some rain on the radar here this morning,
mainly off in the southwestern part of the state.
Had some rain and maybe a few rumbles during
the overnight period passed by the Twin Cities. Now a little break.
Now, of course, if you're watching this later in the day,
the radar will look different, but what we're talking about
in the newsroom is if you have some plans here throughout the day,
maybe trick-or-treating earlier, going to visit some company.
Or some outdoor thing going on throughout midday.
I'd still bring the rain jacket or umbrella with just in case.
And then heading into the evening, there's still
a chance for some of those spotty showers
or maybe a little bit of mist or a few sprinkles to linger on.
Here's this afternoon.
Of course, it won't look exactly like this,
but I just wanted to show you that there's
still that threat of some passing showers all the way into the evening.
So those trick-or-treat times,
even around the Twin Cities, you may want to check the
radar and maybe walk around with the umbrella.
in your area, but there is that potential out there.
This little wave moves on out heading into your Sunday forecast.
As I said, I think we'll have some sunshine kind of filtering
in with the clouds. We'll end up staying mostly cloudy
if you're going to look at the whole day in just perspective,
but I think there will be some patchy sunshine here and there.
As we head toward Monday, if you haven't heard,
it looks like a pretty wet day.
Big chunk of your Monday ends up just being rainy potentially there.
May over an inch, may an inch and a half in some places.
We'll have to wait and see how that ends up for the state
and who ends up with the most.
Temperatures today, above average still, with mainly 50s out there.
A few of us will approach 60 down in the south.
There's just that threat of some showers.
Looking ahead, some passing showers for today, 57.
Staying cloudy, those drips will even last
into the evening hours out there for some folks.
So you will have to be potentially walking through
those showers even for the Halloween trick-or-treat time.
Tonight, fairly steady temperatures.
We fall back.
Then tomorrow, mostly cloudy.
Really mild, even with that really early sunset.
Winds will stay pretty light on Sunday.
Sunday looks like a pretty decent day.
So tomorrow, we'll be looking at high temperatures,
maybe in the 60s out there.
So checking out that 7-day forecast.
57 today, some passing showers.
Sunset tomorrow is at 5 o'clock.
Mostly cloudy, so some sunshine.
And as we head toward Monday, Monday looks windy and rainy.
The system is going to swing in on Monday, alas, into parts of Tuesday.
These really big systems that lift
the area end up pulling in some dry air for some folks.
So I think Tuesday, even though we'll have
that chance of some rain out there,
some of us may see that shut down as the system will likely pull
in a big wave of dry air for parts of the state.
We'll narrow that down as we get a little
closer since it is only Saturday,
but Tuesday looking like still a chance of showers.
If this system maybe even lingers into Wednesday,
I think this will mainly be pushing off toward our east.
but we may be on the very back side seeing a couple showers.
This morning what I was just kind
of sifting through models we're trying to
move this out of here a little bit
quicker which would be some good news if
you don't want the rain on your Wednesday forecast but
still leaving in just that small chance
of some drips and then the rest of the
forecast still above average here both morning lows and daytime highs.
Highs lingering in the mid
and lower 50s toward the end of the forecast.
