Welcome to my channel.
Today I'm making something absolutely amazing. It's a dessert that's
world known and everybody absolutely loves it.
If you like chocolate, this is something
that you're going to be making all the time.
And it's a very very special dessert. It's
chocolate fondant.
And I make it, I try different ways how to make it
and I come up with the best recipe.
Very, very easy, straightforward and it comes out very gooey
in the middle and like a brownie, hard consistency outside.
I'll show you how to do it today.
Now I'm going to show you the ingredients we're going
to be using and this serves 4 people.
Here I've got 75 grams of dark chocolate.
I use 70% because it gives that extra chocolatey taste.
65 grams of unsalted butter, a little bit butter on the side,
65 grams of plain flour, 65 grams of caster sugar,
about 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract,
2 eggs and 5 teaspoons of cocoa powder.
First of all, we preheat our oven to 180 degrees,
which is gas mark 4, while we make our chocolate fondant.
Now I'm going to be melting my chocolate and butter together.
I'm doing it over the stove on a very medium, sort of low-medium heat,
because it gives it that extra chocolatey mixture
and you don't want to overburn it.
If you want to use microwave or your oven, you can use that as well.
Now I broke the chocolate into small pieces so it melts faster.
We just put everything together and let it melt.
Now we take our baking tray and a bit of butter
that I put aside previously and we coat it around each individual area,
just be generous, give enough. This is to prevent sticking
and when you take these lovely chocolate fondants out of the oven,
they don't stick to it and don't fall apart.
Now we do this for the rest.
And then we're going to coat it with cocoa powder around as well.
And that will give it that extra chocolatey smell
and also prevent the sticking from the pan.
Okay, so you can see I've coated it with cocoa powder.
Now we put this aside and our chocolate is nearly done.
Well, actually almost done.
And we add the remaining one teaspoon of cocoa powder just in here
and just mix it in gently.
It smells so chocolatey in the house,
I just want to eat that chocolate if I want.
Now I'm actually going to mix the eggs in.
So we take another bowl, break two eggs
and now we're going to add our vanilla extract,
just a teaspoon.
And we beat that up for about, I would say, two minutes.
Just make sure they're all light and fluffy and don't over mix it.
You can see chocolate,
it has to be this kind of gooey consistency, very still liquidy.
Oh, looks so good. Yum.
And now I'm going to add our flour very slowly.
Make sure you sift it through if you can.
And just add little bit by little bit.
Mix it all in slowly.
Okay, look at this, it's all done. Don't overmix it,
it has to still be very runny, looks very chocolatey, you can taste,
don't taste too much, you can just lick the spoon afterwards.
Now, I've got my tray here,
and I'm just gonna scoop the mixture inside.
And now, really,
you have to fill them about three quarters of the way,
just let it slide gently, and fill each cupcake holder.
Okay, all done. Lovely chocolate in the casings.
Now, this is very, very important.
Depending on your oven, they vary from different kitchens to kitchens,
you put these on for six minutes and you check after six minutes.
If you feel that they're still very runny, leave them for another two.
I cook them for eight minutes and they come out absolutely perfect.
So, good luck and I hope it comes out well.
Now I'm going to put these in.
Oh my god, it smells so chocolatey. I can't even describe it.
Okay, so this is the consistency you're looking for.
You see they... I'm just going to... Ooh, carefully.
Touch this. It's very spongy, but the middle is still very gooey.
So now, the best thing to do,
we'll leave them aside for maybe two minutes to cool down.
And I've got sort of a chopping board here,
but you can use any flat surface.
And what we're going to do,
put this over and then flip the baking tray very, very carefully.
Okay, now I'm going to just gently tap, just a little bit, come out.
Dangerous moment.
Okay, now you can decorate it in any way you want.
Here I've got some icing sugar, vanilla, ice cream and raspberries.
I'm going to decorate this delicious dessert on a plate
and then I'm going to cut it up
and you will see how the gooey chocolate melts down
and you'll be jealous you're not here to eat it now.
Okay, last raspberry. Look how pretty and amazing this is.
So, now, the moment we're all waiting for.
Let's see, is that this in the middle?
Can you see?
Now I'm just going to try this now.
Wow.
Oh my god.
This is fantastic.
I'm just going to have some ice cream too.
As you can see, very very gooey inside.
Very hard on the top.
Amazing.
I just want to eat it all.
