Kensington Road named after a gate into Hyde Park, opened in 1848 by Edward VII, the then Prince of Wales.

Kensington is one of the most affluent, posh and sophisticated areas of central London. It is a district of West London, within the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. It is an elegant, but densely populated area which is home to the well-known museum district of South Kensington.

The reason that it is so hard to value and sell these properties is simple, they are a finite resource and one that is extremely sought after within the highest climbs of the London property market.

Kensington probably derives from Chenesitun, 'town' of Chenesi's people. Today some historians believe that all three places were one and owned by early kings, possibly as a residence, as Chelsea was a known meeting-place.

During the summer of 1857 a scheme for an independent "Grosvenor Basin Terminus" in the West End of London, "for the use of the Southern Railways of England" was mooted. The station was originally referred to as the "Grosvenor Terminus" but later renamed Victoria as it was sited at the end of Victoria Street.

Little Ben is a cast iron miniature clock tower, situated at the intersection of Vauxhall Bridge Road and Victoria Street, in Westminster, central London, close to the approach to Victoria station.
