Here we are at Aurora Park at Geauga Lake! They just opened October 25, 2026 and I came to see it exactly 6 days after grand opening. The park has opened phase 1 using the old sea world side to have a kayak area, pier, restored entrance, walking path etc. upcoming is a kids area, pool in the old wave pool, and a beach. They had an old raging wolf bobs car for photo ops!
Hey guys I'm at Aurora Park at Geauga Lake.
They opened last Sunday. It was their grand opening.
There's still quite a few people here.
I'm going to start by showing you
the sign when you first pull in and I'm going
to work my way into the park and we're going
to talk about it. All right let's go walk around and see what we find.
Before I do my walk around
let's look at young Lydia's passes
for just a second.
This is the brand new Aurora Park
at Geauga Lake so um this
was the former Wild Water
Kingdom side what used
to be the SeaWorld
side and they're not done yet
with this park this is phase one
but um they have reused this
entrance here the teal entrance that was uh
original to uh I believe that goes back to SeaWorld days um
And if you guys have not seen it,
I did an explore here when it was abandoned last year,
last summer, June 2023, we did an urbex.
We actually came in this way to start the urbex,
and this was abandoned back then.
Now it's not, and it's been repurposed.
I think it's cool that they're using the building.
The park seems
to be well-received by people.
There's so many people that have nostalgia
for Geauga Lake, myself included, many of you
included, that just grew up with the park.
And some people complain
about Aurora Park and say
it's no Geauga Lake. Well, of course it's not.
But what did you expect them to put up a whole
amusement park? You know, this is how Geauga Lake started.
It's just a park. And I do
I could almost bet on it that they will
be putting rides here eventually because they're
the next phase phase two is going to involve a pool
which is going to be reusing the old wave
pool grand opening that
was last week on Sunday
looks really nice they did
a great job the teal
that reminds me of Geauga Lake the flowers match
the sun match the art I like the
The designs are very reminiscent.
of old
times very
nostalgic
this might
be a ticket
booth I
don't
know yeah
they did
a really
nice job
nice nice picnic tables yeah the roof's
been redone beautiful the raging wolf bob
car is here
uh there's been people all over it
so i haven't got to it yet but i don't know i wonder if like
maybe they sell tickets think they're done
so we're gonna look at this so first off they have
Ping pong tables.
Yeah this was a original
Raging Wolf Bob car.
That's the batman right there.
Raging Wolf Bob's was a wooden roller coaster
at Geauga Lake Park from 1988 to 2007.
The coaster had a max height of 80 feet,
a drop of 75 feet, and a max speed of 50.
Miles per hour.
The City of Aurora purchased this car in 2025
from the Euclid Beach Boys collection.
It was restored by Rob and Troy Parsh of Amusement Preservation Museum.
Last time I
was on here was
probably 2007.
And I probably have sat in this very car.
Oh my goodness.
Check that out.
Could you believe this?
That's insane.
This is insanity.
You ever been on this one?
What house is that?
Yeah.
Raging Wolf Bob's?
Yeah.
That's so many years ago.
I might have been on there.
I can't even remember the name.
Restrooms.
I don't know if these were already here.
What
in here?
These look new.
I don't know if they've been restored, but they look new.
I'm going to give them an A+.
This
is
my
wheel.
Wheel.
I did.
This is my wheelhouse right here.
There's the clock.
1992.
I remember when my uncle got that shirt.
Really?
1992, yeah.
I was, what, 7, 8?
Sure.
Yeah, I was like 7, 7.
A lot of people here still, I mean,
it's only been a week, so it's still brand new.
See, I was in the early 2000s.
That's when I was doing HTML.
Yeah.
One angel fire that.
Oh, that'd be terrible.
These guys drive like maniacs.
Oh, oh.
Okay.
They just let me figure out.
Ooh.
Nice fur.
I want to look at...
What is this?
It almost looks like a putt-putt or something.
Oh, so this is like
plans
for a kid's area.
The woodland adventure.
Well, I suppose I could actually walk up to it instead of doing that.
I think that's new.
I don't think those rocks were already there.
I'm pretty sure they weren't.
Wait,
this
does
look
old.
Now, I'm not very familiar with Wild Water Kingdom
because I know it stayed open all the way up
to 2016 after Jog-O-Lake closed, but I didn't go there.
I did not go to Wild Water Kingdom after Jog-O-Lake closed.
I went to it when it was with Jog-O-Lake, but this actually looks old,
but when I did urbex here last year, I don't remember this.
this has to be old
because like look at this must have
been like a little like pool or lazy
river type of thing i guess you would say
but yeah i don't remember
that when we were doing
they got
caution
tape on it
but yeah
that's
definitely
old we're
not a
little
bit i
must
get out of here not supposed
to be in there okay sorry guys they're
definitely using the 90s colors
Throughout the park.
Which I think people appreciate that.
I think...
I think this is gonna be really good.
Like I said, Jogger Lake started out this way,
way back in the 1800s.
So it's like
a rebirth.
And comment below if you guys think
that there will eventually be rides here.
I guarantee after that phase two,
they put in,
we're gonna look at that.
That over there is the former wave pool.
We're going to look at that in a second, uh, in a minute.
Um, what's up with this?
This random tree.
Was this, like, busted?
I don't know.
That's there.
Um, I could, I could almost guarantee they're going
to start putting rides in here again.
This was something.
If you guys know, let me know what these, um, cylinders were from.
I don't know exactly what it means, but, um, supports.
It was something from the old park.
Right
here.
They had Rondak chairs.
Yeah, the grand opening was Sunday, October 25th, 2026.
I'm wondering if this barrel was from old jungle.
It kind of looks old.
I don't know.
Ooh, I like the shape of this.
The way this is really well done.
They're still really kind of working on it.
But yeah, across there is apartments.
Kayak rental.
You run them with a QR code.
Under two hours, 25.
You need a membership.
Well see that's actually pretty cool because
then you don't have to buy your own kayak.
They come with obviously
safety life vests I think
is what they're called
and the pier.
We'll go walk onto that one.
I remember walking onto
that one last year it was all
the floor was falling
in. Yep I remember this
this was falling in,
falling under. I was almost afraid to walk onto it.
There's this whole new floor now.
That
has to
be old,
that
cross.
Here
was
a
former
wave.
There's
geese
on it,
that's
crazy.
I haven't
been here
since it was
SeaWorld.
So that was the wave pool.
So we're gonna turn
that into a pool,
a regular pool.
Just spoke to somebody who said this was SeaLion,
when it was SeaWorld,
this was a SeaLion show.
I remember
SeaWorld too
much, but that
sounds right.
I think we've seen the park.
All right, and that was the park.
Let me know what you guys think. Would you
tour Aurora Park? Would you spend any time here?
Or do you think this is not cool?
It's not juggle-like, don't bother.
I think it's nice. If I lived closer to it,
I'd probably come here more often, but I'm not that close to it. But
It's a very nice park.
I think they did good.
I think they're doing it justice.
They definitely honored it in certain ways
with the teal and the pink
and using what was already here.
Oh, there's a beach coming here too.
A beach, a pool, a kids area.
Yeah, so let me know what you guys think
and I'll see you in the next video.
