Eagles running back Saquon Barkley said he'd love to stay with the team amidst trade rumors.
After the loss, Barkley told reporters, "I would love to be here. I plan on being here. I don't like the way the season is going, but I am not one of those guys that wants to jump ship. That's not the type of person you want to have, and that's not the person I am. I'd rather be a part of a solution to the problem and hopefully be a reason we fix it."
The Eagles are now on a six-game losing streak, falling
to the Commanders in Washington in front of a national audience.
The game started off in a positive direction.
Saquon Barkley ran for a touchdown,
putting the Eagles up 10-0 in the first quarter.
But Washington, coming off a bye week,
pulled it together and scored 27 unanswered points.
The Eagles fall 27-10.
You know you're fed up. We're fed up, too.
And so is Action News reporter Sharifa
Jackson, who is live at The Link.
Good morning, Sharifa.
Good morning. Yeah, I'm getting tired of talking about them losing
and every week that the Eagles lose it gets harder and harder
to find people who are willing to talk to us about it as well.
Luckily this morning we found a couple people.
They both agree that something drastic needs to be done
to turn this around. We need like a miracle or something.
Eagles fans are waking up another Monday as losers.
It's annoyingly become the trend this season.
I just feel like we're giving up kind of like there's like I feel like
We have it, but, like, we're not fighting to, like, our full potential.
You ask me, they probably need a new coach or something.
That's the way I feel about it when you start losing.
Sunday night's game against the Washington Commanders.
The Birds lost 27-10, making this now
the sixth game in a row the team has lost,
their worst losing streak in 14 years.
It is on us, and there's nothing that defenses have done to stop us.
We have the ability to go down and score, and we need to execute.
The game started promising
and fast after building an early 10-0 lead in the first quarter,
but the team quickly crumbled.
Never scoring again. The Eagles now 2-6 for the season.
That's the birds' worst start since 1999.
Somewhat uncharted territory for us, and it sucks.
So where does the team go from here?
With the November 10th trade deadline looming, there's new questions
on if the Eagles will explore moving players.
They already traded offensive lineman Cam Jurgens
to the Ravens for two draft picks.
After the loss, Eagles running back Saquon Barkley told reporters he'd,
quote, love to be here, end quote.
In fact, he says he plans on being here.
He goes on to say, I don't like the way the season is going,
but I'm not one of those guys that wants to jump ship.
That's not the type of person you want to have,
and that's not the person I am.
Yeah, we'll just add this previous game this last game to the pile.
Just forget that it even happened. On to the next game. The Eagles will
be back here at the link where they'll face the Giants Sunday.

Aliana, Matt. Alright, let's hope we have
a different outcome next week, Sharifa. Thank you.
