James Kaufman with a news report today.
Ladies and gentlemen, we have a strong tropical system
coming off the African coast as a tropical wave
headed towards the Lesser Antilles,
maybe just north of that.
And currently it has an 80% chance of formation
into a cyclone, a tropical system.
Now,
We're going to take a look at some wind currents
and where we think this might end up, but
before we do that, we'll take a quick peek at the Pacific.
By jumping over to the Pacific,
it's been very busy this year compared to the Atlantic
for sure.
We have two tropical hurricanes.
We have Kiko first, 110 mile per hour sustained winds,
a minimum central pressure of 970 millibars.
This one's moving west at seven miles an hour,
so it's probably going to go south of Hawaiian Islands.
Now we have another hurricane, Marina,
actually tracking the Baja coast over here,
and here we have 80 mile per hour sustained winds, category one,
Central pressure of 985 millibars,
and it's moving northwest at 16 miles an hour.
I think that was going to put this storm out
to sea somewhere north of the Hawaiian Islands.
So I think in both instances,
the Hawaiian Islands escaped both of these storms.
Heading over to myfox hurricane.com,
taking a look at the Atlantic infrared satellite imagery,
you see that we don't have a lot of organization whatsoever, especially
With the storm having an 80% chance of formation,
this is the guts of it.
There's no rotation whatsoever, and this looks like it wants
to take it further north, and I thought it might be going.
Also looks like we have a second system forming
and coming off the African coast.
That one might very well be examined
and given a chance of formation by day's end.
All right, jumping over.
To our Florida satellite, this is,
believe it or not, what we have going for us.
This is all of the moisture headed towards the northeast here,
and it looks like the storm inbound might be picked up by this moisture
and taken to the north, i.e. missing the east coast.
So we're going to have to keep an eye on this.
We definitely have enough time for this to dissipate.
This has no rotation,
and they're not giving it any chance of formation.
Now, we also have a cool front, as you can see, heading this direction.
I don't know if the time is a little early here or not,
and I don't know if there's anyone behind it.
So, it looks to me like this one might be picked up
and driven to the north, missing the entire east coast of the U.S.
So, will the U.S. be hit by a hurricane this entire season?
I guess that is the question.
We'll keep a real close eye on this again
with an 80% chance of formation,
and we'll see if it's going to be picked up.
I'm going to go ahead and run this as far as AI over on Windy
and see if it's picked up on Windy.
All right, getting started,
it's really easy to pick out the two hurricanes over the Pacific.
It's very difficult to pick out the system with an 80% chance
of formation that should be located right about here.
Let's put this in motion and see what happens with Windy's AI.
And we'll be moving into Thursday about now.
I would think we would start to see formation.
and i do see rotation here so let's see what happens here
this is moving into friday you can
see that storm trying to form right now looking
a lot better now with uh with an eye since still
friday moving into saturday i just don't think
that we're gonna have enough ai here to figure
Check this one out guys.
So a very slow moving storm and you can see all
the winds being caught up and being driven to the north here.
So I believe that's going to be what happens to this hurricane.
You can see it forms on Saturday or Sunday of this week.
That's what it appears. This is Sunday here.
It's like a full blown hurricane.
So it definitely forms Saturday or Sunday.
We can only run this through Monday.
And we're not even going to make it to the Lesser Antilles.
What I will do is I will update you guys the next day or two.
And we'll see what happens.
You can see here that it's become a very strong system.
With wind swells over a hundred miles per hour near the eye.
Again, I see that a lot of the moisture is being caught
and pushed up the coast here.
And we'll see.
I just don't think it has a chance of making it to the East Coast.
That said, again, are we going to be hit all year long by a hurricane?
I just don't know if we are.
Something we do need to point out is that this system, well,
be heading pretty much right for the Hawaiian Islands.
It doesn't look like a very strong system, and this is as of Monday.
Probable impact Tuesday.
Or it might skirt the islands to the north.
That storm was a bit stronger.
It doesn't look like it has deteriorated as it gets into cooler water.
We'll have to see.
But there's a chance that this could impact the Hawaiian Islands after all.
With that said, fingers crossed,
no impacts on the mainland U.S.
for the 2025 season thus far.
It is early in September.
And I know that, well, at least one of the hurricanes destroyed one
of the two homes that I lost in hurricanes was a November hurricane.
So, we have time left, but we'll see what happens.
God bless, guys.
Share, subscribe, and always remember, anything's possible.
Bizarre.
