Good Tuesday evening everyone.
I'm meteorologist Claire Anderson
in the Fox 13 Weather Center.
Some nice sun breaks this afternoon.
Hopefully able to enjoy it.
We've got some changing weather ahead.
More rain is in store.
Now it is going to be a dry start to our Wednesday.
So get out for your walk early in the day
because as we head into the evening hours,
we start to see increasing rain along with wind,
especially out along the coast and to the north interior.
Now we are going to see
a calmer day Thursday before a soggy end to the week on Friday.
So, tracking some more active systems
into the weekend as well as even into next week.
So, we'll take the nicer days when we can get them.
Temperatures today were really nice.
Upper 50s for SeaTac, Seattle, 59, Tacoma,
Olympia, even 60 out along the coast today.
Several degrees above seasonal average.
Now, looking at our 24-hour temperature change,
5 to 10 degrees warmer today compared to yesterday.
We started off November pretty chilly.
Now, I do want to show you the next several afternoons.
We're actually above average here
for the next several days into Saturday, low 60s.
Now, we do see that warm front moving through
with a few showers with cooler temperatures
or slightly cooler with more showers
returning heading into early next week.
Now, let's take a look.
Doppler radar today.
We do have big upper level low offshore bringing us
a few more showers, especially.
Tomorrow night with that next front moving through and a few
showers have been kicking up with a low down towards California
into southern parts of the Cascades into central Washington as well,
but staying dry for western Washington.
For tonight, we actually clear out allowing temperatures
to drop into the overnight hours, few hours,
few areas of morning patchy fog to start the day lunchtime.
If you want to go for a walk,
you need to get a bike ride and take the dog. Go before
The evening commute because showers increased by five o'clock,
especially the south sound rain returns scattered showers through
the evening, high elevation mountain snow scattered showers Wednesday.
Good news is we do get some dry breaks heading into Thursday,
potentially a shower, a sprinkle mostly
to mainly dry across western Washington. And then I'll show you.
Friday, Friday, we see wet conditions to start
the morning throughout the day as well.
So Friday will be more of an indoor day.
Looking at how much rain we're talking about late Wednesday
into Thursday, not a whole
lot, about a third of an inch for some of our higher spots.
The system into Friday will definitely see more rainfall.
Looking at snow level forecast,
we do drop down Thursday night into Friday, mostly for
those higher mountain peaks,
not expected to have any major impacts on the passes.
Winds, here's Wednesday morning.
Notice as those showers increase, we see those gustier winds,
so 20 to 25 miles per hour across the Puget Sound.
Tonight, temperatures mid to low 30s.
Olympia, Centralia, 42.
Seattle, highs tomorrow in the upper 50s.
Again, Tacoma, Bremerton, 55 for Everett.
And your extended forecast, so staying mild with active weather here
the next several days with plenty of scattered showers.
We'll be right back.
