FBI joins search for missing 10-year-oldJalayshia Alford in Philadelphia

Now the FBI is involved with the search of this missing 10-year-old girl. So, Hank, it looks like they've been serving a couple of warrants over the last couple of days, and they've had dogs out there doing searches as well. Yeah, good morning, Karen. It raises a couple of questions, too, because I believe they were out here on Monday doing a search of this residence, which makes you ask yourself the question, why did they need to break down the door last night in order to conduct another search warrant? But the urgency absolutely was clear last night here on the 500 block of Simpson Street. As Philly police absolutely had to do just that. A cadaver dog, as you said, Karen, spotted on scene being utilized. The FBI were here as well. Well, Jalaysha Alford, Who also goes by May, or Malaysia, was in school two Thursdays ago on the 22nd. She's the 10-year-old girl who's gone missing. And she was said to have made it home from school just fine. Again, that's two Thursdays ago, the 22nd. She did not, Karen, attend school on Friday, the 23rd. And she was declared missing on Monday, October 26th. Her aunt and her sister described her, called her to come home. District Attorney Larry Krasner says time is critically short. She's very smart. She's pretty laid back. She's not like a child that would just go off with anyone. She's very to herself. So as far as I know, I'm like, is there any friends that she may have like talking to or any friends that she may have went off with? Malaysia, if you are safe. I love you and please contact me any way you can. If anybody you are with does know me, please ask them to get in contact with me because I love you and I hope that you're safe. It's extremely urgent. We are several days past the point where this child disappeared, and we need help right now. Sure. Jalisha was last seen, Karen, again, in her school uniform, mostly blue top to bottom, a blue polo or a button-down shirt, a blue pullover, a blue skirt, and either Crocs or black sneakers. She was also known to wear glasses, Karen, and that poster that you're looking at, that's one the family's been putting up all over West Philadelphia and Delco, like Upper Darby as well, in hopes that someone, anyone, has seen her and has. Some information to extend to police and investigators, and that's about the size of it at this hour. Karen, if you have seen her or know anything about where she is or where someone may be keeping her, pick up the phone now and call Southwest Detectives. They are leading the investigation, or dial 911. Whatever you do, dial it in. It might be all the difference. We're talking about the life of a little girl. Yeah, and there's just so many questions, because that's the foster family where she is. Like, why it took so many days to report that she was even missing in the first place. And, you know, anyway, it's obviously that family, you can't even imagine.
