Spring makeup is arguably one of the prettiest seasons in my opinion for makeup. We've got
sun-kissed blushing cheeks, berries, reds, pinks. We've got glowy dewy skin. You guys know I just
absolutely love a light natural makeup look that is just flattering for any occasion. But I also
thought it'd be fun to test a bunch of hot new makeup products in this tutorial and there are
some serious winners in today's video. So if you want to know what I used, how I achieved this
makeup look, I'm going to walk you through every step of the way. Keep on watching. Oh and by the
way if you guys want to know what contact lenses I'm wearing I've linked the exact pair down below.
They are so natural looking. They're undetectable in person and they also look unreal on dark eyes.
I always get a lot of questions on the color contacts that I wear so everything will be
down below. When I think of spring makeup I automatically think of skin first. I think of
glowy dewy skin. I think of blushing cheeks. So I really want to focus on having a really solid
skin base today. I've tried a lot of glowy base products and a lot of them either make my skin
look glittery or metallic or they don't sit well under makeup. This one is so good. It gives the
perfect amount of glow. It looks like you're glowing from within and it sits so well under
any makeup that I've tried. This is the Say Glowy Super Gel. I'm using the shade Star Glow. This is
really quick and easy to apply. I just put one pump on the back of my hand and then I just work it in
with my fingers. I literally don't know how they got the pearl so fine in this product. It literally
makes your skin look like the juiciest dewiest skin you've ever seen in your life but it's still
so lightweight and hydrating. And this comes in a couple of different shades. If you want one more
bronze they have a bronze shade. If you want something a bit more warm they have one called
Warm Glow. They have a few different colors that would be good for different skin tones and
different vibes. This one works really good on my skin. I'm very pale so if you're a similar shade
to me this shade would probably work really well for you too. Like look at that glow. It's not
glittery. It's not unnatural. I could wear this on its own and kind of just leave my skin like this
but today I want to try some new base products. This is Ilia's Skin Rewind Complexion Stick. I'm
using the shade 1N Hinoki and I'm actually testing this out for the first time today.
I really wanted to try a lot of new makeup launches that I've been receiving and I wanted
to give you guys my honest review. So I'm just kind of like putting this all over my face. I'm
assuming this is going to be a bit more natural coverage because it's Ilia but I did just kind of
layer it on. I think the shade match is pretty good. I'm actually really impressed. I'm blending
it in with the MPH foundation brush. This just like airbrushes all foundation into the skin. I've
been loving this brush. I don't typically like love foundation sticks because sometimes I find
them hard to blend out but this one is blending in really nice and it's not giving too much
coverage but it's definitely giving a decent amount of coverage more than I thought. Oh this
is like the perfect match for me. It's not too yellow which is really rare. A lot of fair products
these days are very yellow for whatever reason. Okay so this is what that complexion stick is
looking like close up. I, first impressions, am pretty impressed. My skin is very dry right now.
I'm recovering from being so sick. I was sick for like two weeks. You can still hear it in my voice
and my skin is very dry and dehydrated but it hasn't clung to any of my dry patches which is
very common in stick foundations, complexion sticks, stuff like that. So pretty impressed and I do really
love the coverage. It gave me a decent amount of coverage when my skin does not look heavy. That is
what I look for in my complexion products. So so far I do think this looks pretty good. So Ilia
actually just came out with a new concealer which I'm really excited to try. This is their Skin Blur
Serum Concealer. I have the shade 2C but I think I probably could have gone with the lighter shade
but let's see how this applies. I'm applying this where I normally would, underneath my eyes, in the
center of my face, and on top of any little blemishes. One of the first things I noticed
about this concealer is how much I like the applicator. It's flat and very precise. It's very
easy to control where you place a product and how much product you disperse. I'm blending that out
with my Rare Beauty concealer brush. I'm going to link all the tools and all the shades, products,
everything down below. One of the first things I'm noticing about this concealer is how blendable it
is. The coverage is also really good for how light this concealer feels. It's not super thin in
consistency but it's definitely not thick either. It's like the perfect medium in between and this
shade actually ended up working really well. It's again not too yellow which I really appreciate
and I also like that there's actually one shade lighter if I want something a bit more brightening.
Okay so foundation and concealer are done immediately. I am really liking this concealer.
This is obviously just a first impression but I'm so picky about concealers. I'm curious to see if
this like creases or wears weird throughout the day because initial application is so so good.
I don't like concealers that are too heavy. I really like the Tower 28 serum concealer. I really
like the Kosas concealer. This one is giving that so I feel like this is super promising and
another thing I really like is even around my nose. I've been blowing my nose like crazy. It's
like dry flaky skin in that area like unreasonably dry. It hasn't clung to any of my dry patches even
in that area which is crazy. I was expecting my makeup to kind of look bad around my nose today
but my skin is looking really really good so far. This base is giving. It's time to add some
dimension to the face. I'm going in with the Victoria Beckham contour stylus in the shade
Tavertine and I love how precise this is. You can just draw on any areas that you want a little bit
of definition and it blends out like butter. Really good for nose contour. You can use on the eyes as
well. I'm going to use a little bit of this on the eyes today. Just such a quick easy beginner
friendly way to contour the face. When I'm in a rush I do like to reach for this one because you
can do eyes, face and blend it out in no time especially with this rougher brush. I like to use
the more dense side just to kind of get an initial blend and then once I've got it kind of blend it
out and then I flip it over and do one pass with the fluffy side. This makes any cream product
look so airbrushed and honestly it's probably the quickest technique I have to get a flawless
buttery blend. I just love how natural this contour looks. I really think they nailed the shade
and the formula is gorgeous. It looks like I just have more naturally sculpted features.
Huda Beauty just came out with some new blush products. I'm so excited to try them. This is
a new shade of their blush filter in Strawberry Latte and they changed the applicator. It's more
of like a lip gloss dofa where before it was almost like a rounded tip and I actually really
like the old applicators. So let's see how I like the new one, how I like the new shade. I'm just
applying a small amount of this to the apples of my cheeks and then I'm going to blend up to lift
slightly. I want the cheeks kind of to be the star of the show in today's look so I really think the
strawberry shade is going to give those spring vibes that I'm looking for and I just really love
this blush formula. It really blurs the skin and blends out so easily. I have so many different
shades of this blush and it's honestly one of my favorite liquid blushes and I'm just applying this
with the Makeup by Mario duo ended brush. I'm taking the small side to do the initial blend
and again flipping it around to the bigger fluffier side and then going over everything
to give it more of an airbrushed look. To be honest with you I think I preferred the old
doe foot applicator because I feel like you could control how much product you applied on the cheek
a little bit better because these are quite pigmented so if you apply too much you could get
yourself in a little bit of trouble but it's the same great formula and I do really like this color.
I think it's very springy but yeah if I could give any feedback I think I would bring the old
applicators back. Before I go into setting spray I'm going to do a really quick brow. I'm going
in with one of my favorites this is the Morphe nano brow pencil in the shade java and I'm just
taking the spoolie end to brush through my brows and then I just really like to quickly fill in
mostly the tail area and then I do a couple little strokes around the front part of my brow
but I really don't like to spend too much time on my eyebrows so that's why it's so important for me
to have a brow pencil that is just easy to use. This is a very fine tip so I feel like I can get
very precise hair like strokes. It also doesn't apply too thick it's actually very forgiving to
use. I've been using this brow pencil for a few months now and I just really really love it
especially considering it is an affordable option. I really can't recommend this one enough.
Okay so now that all my cream products are applied it's at this stage that I like to set
my face with setting spray so I'm going in with the iconic Charlotte Tilbury airbrush flawless
setting spray. I really love this one I'm just doing a fine mist of this all over my face.
This is going to lock in our makeup for a lot longer throughout the day and I actually like
to do this before powder because I want my powder to powder. I want it to look matte.
Obviously if you apply too much powder then you can fix it with a little setting spray but I
find that this locks in all my creams and then my powder actually goes on top to make the makeup
last even longer if that makes sense. But let's move on to eyes. Obviously for me I wanted the
skin to be the star of the show but I do want the eyes to have a little something. I'm going in with
the Morphe Moonstone eyeshadow palette. This is a 12 pen palette and I've been using this palette
so much lately. This has actually been my go-to palette recently. I just really love the cool
tones in this palette plus it's affordable and it's amazing quality for the price that you pay.
So I have been mixing my perfect crease shade. These two together make the prettiest crease
shade ever and I'm just applying that with a rougher 15. I'm just going to lightly brush
that through my crease just to give my eyes a little bit more definition. This is also going
to help set down that cream contour we applied on the eyes earlier. The key to that airbrushed
fluffy look is to go in with a very light hand and just to build up the color very very slowly.
And then I'm just going to take that exact same brush and just run that along my lower lash line
a little bit just to give my lower lash line a little bit of smokiness. In my opinion this really
just ties the entire eye look together. And then for just a little bit of brightness I'm going to
take this lightest shade right here and I'm taking that on a flat brush and just packing that on my
mobile lid. This is going to make the eyes look a bit more bright, fresh and awake. Now I'm going
to add a little bit of a smoky liner moment. I have been seeing these so much online and I've
been so curious about them. These are the new Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Multi-use Sculpting
and Defining Pencils. I'm using the shade Chocolate Lava. This is like a deep brown liner and I'm just
curious to see what the formula is going to be like because a formula that works well on eyes,
lips, face, all the above, it's hard to get something that works well in all those areas.
So I'm just keeping this nice and tight to my lash line. I'm not making this too perfect. I'm
making this a bit thicker on the outer corner and making it thinner as I get closer to the inner
corner of my eye, but I'm only taking this about halfway across my lid. And then taking a small
smudger brush, I'm just going to smoke that liner out. Upon first applying this, it's a bit drier
than I thought, but then when I went to blend it, it's actually really creamy to blend, which is
very interesting and I think would work very well for an all-over face pencil. Okay, so that was
actually very easy to get a very natural looking, kind of smoky, subtle winged liner look. I
personally really like that. I was going for something a bit more natural today.
If you want to kind of dip your toes into smoky liner and you want something that's very
forgiving, this would be great because you could also build this up if you want a bit more intensity.
Today, I'm pretty happy with this intensity, but you could definitely go in with either a darker
shade on top, blend it out. I just am impressed with this formula so far. Curious to see how it
would work on the lips. I'm actually going to use a lighter shade on the lips later, obviously not
this dark brown shade. Although, if you have deeper skin or if you really like a rich dark
brown lip, this would make a great lip liner, I think. Now for mascara, I'm also trying a new
mascara today, but first we must curl the lashes using my Shiseido lash curler. Obviously, I think
it's the best lash curler to exist. I will link it down below. This one is like a limited edition
gold color, but the black one is the exact same. Nothing lifts my lashes like this lash curler.
Like, look at that. Look at the difference. This side curled, this side not curled. That is crazy.
The only downside is because of how good this lash curler is, I think I'm addicted to
curling my lashes now. Okay, so lashes are curled. I'm going in with the new L'Oreal extensionist
telescopic mascara, and this one honestly kind of looks like the telescopic wand except it's
curved, and you guys know I'm a huge fan of the original telescopic. It is like my favorite
mascara. Honestly, if I could just keep one, I'd probably just keep that one,
but let's see how this applies because I do really like a curved brush. Okay, so that is one coat
with, without. Honestly, it looks pretty good. I could probably just wear this with one coat.
No clumps, lengthens the lashes, looks pretty good. Still prefer the original telescopic formula,
maybe just because it's iconic, but to me, very similar so far. Actually, I just did the other
eye really quickly. I'm going to do another coat and see how this mascara builds up. Okay,
so that's the second coat. I don't love the second coat. I feel like it's looking
a little bit spidery. I'm very picky about my mascara, you guys. I like my mascara to look
very natural and no clumps. It doesn't look bad. Like, I would definitely wear this mascara,
and who knows how the formula will change after it's been open for a couple weeks,
but don't love the second coat. Would probably just stick with one coat. Okay, wait. I just
finished this eye with a second coat, and I think this eye looks way better than this eye.
Maybe it's just my lashes. I don't know what it is, but I'm going to keep testing out this
mascara because, actually, I do really like the way this eye looks. Let's move on to lips,
shall we? I'm going to go in with that same Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Multi-Use Sculpting and
Defining Pencil, but in the shade Milk Chocolate this time, and I'm going to overline my lips with
that shade, and this shade actually is so pretty. It's a lot pinker than I thought it was going to
be, but it looks so good on the lips. It gives them a very, like, nice, naturally plump look.
This is really good for overlining, and it also kind of, like, gives them a contoured effect, too.
Love that lip liner. Now I'm going to go in with a new lipstick that I've been dying to try. This
is by YSL. This is their Love Nude Lip Blusher, and I'm going to go in with the shade 4. This
looks kind of similar to what we put on the cheek, so let's see how this looks. Oh, it smells like
fruit. Oh, it smells really good. This is, like, kind of, like, um, like, a blurring lipstick.
That formula is very interesting. It's, like, very light as air, but it really gives the lips,
like, this soft, blurred effect. What do you guys think about the shade? I never really wear
ready shades on the lips, but I think I could pull this off for, like, every day. I don't know.
I can't get over how lightweight it feels on the lips, and it doesn't feel drying at all. If you
like kind of, like, a blurry matte lipstick, but that feels, honestly, kind of like a weightless
lip balm, this formula is very, very interesting. For finishing touches, I'm going to go in with
some powders. I'm going in with this Huda Beauty Easy Bake Pressed Powder in the shade Cherry
Blossom Cake, and I'm taking it on this double-sided Morphe brush. I've been loving this
one for powder, and I'm just pressing this lightly under my eyes, and something I really noticed when
I was going in with powder is there is zero creasing under my eyes. Like, actually incredible.
That concealer is looking so, so good. Something I love about this powder is it gives a very nice
brightening effect under the eyes, so it definitely gives you a very fresh, more awake-looking
appearance. And then, flipping the brush over, I'm just going to lightly dust this kind of all over
the face, mostly in my T-zone, any areas I get oily. I just got these in PR from Too Faced. I
don't actually know if they're new, but I'm so excited to try. This is their Matte Blurring
Bronzer in the shade Milk Chocolate. I'm picking this up on a Refro 5 brush, and I'm just dusting
this all along the outskirts of my face for a little bit more warmth. These smell like chocolate,
and these are actually so buttery and blurring. This is a gorgeous color if you have very fair
skin like me, and you don't want something too orange in a bronzer, but it still does give you
that warmth. I feel like we need a little more blush. Like, I always feel like we get out a
little more blush. So I'm going in with this new Huda Beauty Blush Lighter Palette in the shade
Strawberry Latte, and I think I'm going to mix this shade on the bottom. It's kind of like Berry
Red shade with this highlighter shade to make a beautiful glowy blush. After I've mixed those two
on my Refro 04 brush, I'm just going to tap that right on top of where we applied that cream blush,
and these just apply like a cloud. They're not too pigmented that they're hard to apply.
They're very blurring, and honestly, the shade matches my lips so well. Everything is tying
together so beautifully. I love a monochromatic moment, and to finish off this look, I feel like
we just need a little bit of glow. I want my skin to look a little bit more juicy. If you like more
of a matte satin look, you could totally leave it like this, but this highlighter is just stunning.
This is the Victoria Beckham Reflex Stick in the shade Pearl. I just like to pick this up on my
finger, actually, and then I just press this right into the high points of my cheeks. This doesn't
disrupt my makeup underneath, which I love. This just makes your cheeks look so plump and glowy
and dewy and just all the good things, especially for a spring look. You don't want to look like
you're wearing, in my opinion, like a glittery heavy highlighter. You just want to look juicy,
like look at that difference. First on this side where I don't have it, this just naturally hits
the light so beautifully. This is more of like a balm texture, but it's not sticky. I personally
like more of a highlighter like this. I don't prefer powdery, glittery highlighters for the
most part, unless they're very natural looking, and this packaging I just think is so gorgeous.
